Why Blogging is More Fun When You Hire People

How much sleep do you get?

The bloggers I know get about five hours.

They are so busy living life in and out of the blogosphere that they don’t have time for more.

Fortunately, my friend and respected blogger Will Blunt (BloggerSidekick) is here with his impressive infographic to explain how you can hire people to help you.

The best part– you can implement his suggestions even if you don’t have a budget.

Why Blogging Is More Fun When You Hire People

by Will Blunt

Blogging is awesome…

Until life takes over.

Your to-do list piles up with urgent deadlines and all of a sudden that blog post you need to write is at the bottom of your priorities.

But you know blogging is what you need to be doing because it’s the heart of this crazy thing called online marketing. No one gets by without a great blog.

So what can you do to fix this constant battle between time, priorities, and your lonely old blog?

It’s time you admitted that you can’t do it ALL yourself. You’re not Superman or Wonder Woman.

As much as it may appear that way, no one who is successful in this space is doing everything themselves.

In fact, it’s quite the opposite. The most successful digital entrepreneurs are the ones that see their blog like a business and hire people to help them reach their goals.

If you’re ready to follow in their footsteps, get your time back and start to see some big results with your blog efforts – it’s time to consider outsourcing.

In a moment, I will share an infographic with you that summarizes 27 blog tasks you could be outsourcing, regardless of your budget. You don’t have to outsource all of them straight away, but if you can pick one or two and get started you’ll never turn back!

Outsourcing Categories

These 27 tasks are broken down into 4 primary categories:
Strategy
Creation
Promotion
List Building
Are you ready to take the first step? Which of these tasks will you outsource first?

Admin Blogger’s Commentary:

Will’s infographic is filled with ideas. It was generous of him to share it with us.

Bloggers, please share this post, so others can see Will’s infographic and get ideas for outsourcing.

Do you outsource any blogging tasks or do you do it all yourself? Do you have a virtual assistant (VA)? Are you a virtual assistant?  I look forward to your views in the comments section.

BBFFJ, my mind has just been blown! We can hire people?? But how do I hire people when I don’t make any money??
    Hope you’re enjoying your cruise!!

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Melinda,
Did you change your last name? No longer Mitchell? No alliteration, LOL.
Yes, having a nice time so far.
In response to your comments, did all of Will’s ideas come with a charge? I thought some were free.

        Hi BBFFJ,
Oh, I guess I better read it again, then!
Yes, my name actually changed per my divorce, but I didn’t do anything about it till now.
Oh, you’re right! I didn’t think about losing the alliteration! Maybe I better keep it the same!

        • Janice Wald

You’ve GOT to keep it the same! Alliteration is the theme of your blog!

The problem is and always has been money. I used a VA for social media mgt briefly who got sick, never got back to me about it, etc. Her fee was $10/hr, which is affordable. But it went nowhere. Another VA charges $30 an hour and a third $20. These higher rates are only affordable if you are making bucks on your blog. Bloggers I know sure could use a reliable lower priced VA.

    • Will Blunt

      Hey Carol,

It’s definitely tough finding the right people to help out… But without them it’s next to impossible to grow anything meaningful.

You need to spend money to make money.

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Carol,
Thanks for your comments. I linked to my post about Jill’s Office. They only charge $5.00 a month and you aren’t obligated more than one month at a time.

Wow! This was very informative and I am going to save it on my Pinterest for future use! Thank you for posting!

    • Will Blunt

      Thanks Lindsey 🙂

Awesome to have you here and sharing it around!

      Hi Lindsey,
Thanks for the kind words about my guest author’s infographic. Thanks as well for sharing on Pinterest.

There are lot of thing other than writing a blog. You need to build audience and promote your blog. I think you should hire one of two people for these task if you are making enough money. Otherwise you can write 2 to 3 good post and promote them daily.

    Great infographic. Loved it!

      Hi Mark,
Thank you for visiting my site. I am glad you liked my guest author’s infographic post. Thanks for bookmarking. Great idea so you can revisit the infographic later.
I wanted you to know I tried to return the “blog love” and visit your site. I clicked on a few links but couldn’t figure out where to comment. I wanted you to know I tried.

As a V.A., these are all things clients have asked me to take over at one time or another. As you can see in Will’s infographic, you do a lot of things as a blogger and that’s not including the 4 – 8 hours you spend on writing the content.

Outsourcing (even as a V.A.) helps you manage your time better and enables you to actually enjoy your life. ^_^

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Sara,
Thanks for commenting on my post. I agree with what you wrote. Concrete proof about how time-consuming blogging is. I linked to my post about Jill’s Office that provides VA’s. I’m an affiliate of theirs.
