Beat the competition.
Visual content is what makes your app stand out from your competition. High-quality images, videos, and even GIFs can offer your landing page the eye candy it needs and enhance your copy.
Educate your viewer.
The human brain responds to images and can process them quickly.
More than 60% of people are visual learners. They will learn your information better by looking at your images because images supplement your textual information.
Most people understand better through videos and static images rather than just reading. Therefore, visual marketing as opposed to solely marketing through textual information is the perfect way to get your message across.
In fact, marketing expert Bob Mackowski explains that 65% of consumers remember your message when it’s accompanied by an image. In contrast, only 10% remember your message when it’s not paired with a visual.
Be more relatable.
Use clear images and videos to show your audience that you share their pain points and relate to their struggles.

Finally, Google likes a variety of media, so your SEO gets a boost when you add media like images.

If not, choose them and use the same colors and fonts across channels.
Canva allows you to make a color palette with your brand colors.
Use a complementary color for your font.

My brand colors are orange and blue. They are in my logo, and on my blog, and I try to carry them across social channels.
Use video.
According to marketing guru Bob Mackowski, 55% of consumers watch videos daily.
Be consistent
As mentioned, Coca-Cola uses the same red in all its marketing materials.
Be different
Your goal is to engage your audience. You can even go so far as to use upside down text in order to stand out by being different from the competition.
Blog Marketing
When it comes to visual blogging, you have many alternatives.
Blog Graphics
You need to accompany your content with a relevant image.
However, you can’t choose just any image. You need to make a custom image. You want your audience to know that you went above and beyond for them.

You should also give thought to your photos. For instance, let’s say you are a food blogger. You need to give great thought to where you place the bun on a hamburger. The reason: The toppings need to show.
Also, you have to make sure that there is nothing behind the focus image that would distract the eye. People are judgemental and will be bothered by any clutter that appears in the photo.
You need a focal point. Do you think it’s the Diet Coke or the burger?

Have an attention-grabbing blog image with complimentary font colors. I often use white since white font easily complements your blog graphic colors.
Information about how you can make a gradient in your blog graphic like this one can be found in this article about Canva frames.
If you are planning to add text, know where you will place it ahead of time.
Other types of blog graphics are available to you in addition to the dominant image. For instance, you can take your data from your post and share the stats in an infographic.
Screenshots also show data and result in giving your post credibility.
You can also take your posts and turn them into an ebook. Amazon helps you make the cover.
Video Marketing
When a video accompanies a piece of written information, the article’s SEO scores increase.
Have a video explaining what your mission is and who you are.

Make sure you are aware of the orientation of your image. For instance, visual marketing in your Instagram grid requires a square orientation. I use 1080Ă—1080. However, an Instagram story requires a vertical orientation.
If you don’t adhere to these dimensions, part of your image can be cut off.
Instagram Stories
Instagram stories are widely used by brands. Brand stories often include photo carousels.

Make sure you make stories in a vertical form. Engage Instagrammers with the popular poll sticker.
Notice how I used this Instagram story to market my article about Instagram stories. This is an effective use of combining social media marketing and content marketing.

Do you see the emotion on my face? I look almost giddy as I stare at the robot in anticipation of the AI’s tips.
Does it have to be YOUR face?
Ideally.
Recently, I watched a video with the face of a woman on the YouTube cover. When the video started, and I heard the voice of a man, I felt deceived, almost conned. As it turns out, he was introducing his female guest. It was her image on the cover.
