Social Media Marketing Trend Research
It took the world ten-plus years, but we’re finally at a point whereby social media marketing is at the top of the heap.
Nothing else compares to the sheer impact you can make by having a brilliant viral social media post.
Hashtags connect millions of people around the world of all different backgrounds.
Social media is inherently linked with cultural movements, so businesses have a free front-row seat to watch what their customers are up to.
For business blogging, it’s better than ever before because it’s no longer just about writing.
Now you can post short videos of reviews, vlogs and funny sketches that will fit on any social media platform. You may have thought that everything in terms of content has been covered, but there is no shortage of niches to choose from.
Not needing validation
In the previous decades, you needed an influencer in the media or industry to vouch for you.
They would backlink to your business blog or promote a product for you, in association with their business.
However, you have LinkedIn as well as your own business blog as great platforms from which to express your views on the industry.
Why wait for someone to ask “Have you met my friend?” when you can make constructive criticisms of where products and services are heading and, also why you’re doing things differently?
It not only shows confidence and self-belief, but you give yourself a voice without the need to be validated by another. This is a great way to get noticed on social media, as apprentices and interns will be attracted to a company that shows its passion on full display.
Quality of experience
Content marketing is king, but video content is God himself. By creating short videos about your business’ products and services, you give your customers a short but informative look at what you produce.
You should also film small tutorials on how best to use your products and services, so the quality of the customer experience is increased.
Hiring a production company that will capture different types of video media for your business is the best way forward.
Some customers want snippets of information, others want to explore who you are. Therefore, giving interviews, making short videos of things like the design rooms, production lines, customer service department, etc, will satisfy the thirst for inquiry your customers have.
The almighty inbox
Regardless of how marketing has advanced in the modern area, the old school ways are still some of the best.
In 2020, emails are still highly effective in creative digital marketing strategies.
People still open their inbox frequently and, thanks to apps that have instant notification settings, emails alert smartphone users of a new message the same way an SMS.
Gmail also has a promotional section that allows you to send multiple messages without clogging a customer’s main inbox which causes the chances of them unsubscribing to go higher.
Have the confidence to speak as an authority in your industry. Use your business blog to give your opinion about where the world is heading and why your products matter in the current climate.
2020 Marketing Trends

Video Marketing
Videos are as trendy as ever, but they are changing forms.
For example, videos are getting shorter.
Free tools like Biteable are more in vogue than ever.
Biteable is trendy for two reasons.
Biteable helps you make short videos as well as animated videos.
Video companies, therefore, are making more and more animated videos. Pixteller has animated videos, for example.
Video marketing is changing form in other ways as well. For instance, a new video maker, Lyric Video Maker, capitalizes on the popularity of music that made Tik Tok so successful.
Social Media Marketing
As videos are getting shorter, social media content is getting longer.
People are actually typing blog posts into their Instagram captions.
Also new in social media marketing: “Dark Social” is a new phrase that means private social media chatting.
