The First Page Of Google And Making Money from Top Paying Affiliate Programs – Even If You Are A Total Newbie
This is a follow-up post to the one I recently wrote here called How To Get Your Blog On The First Page Of Google for Free.
As you may or may not know, the post ended up on the first page of Google in a few hours, and in the top 5 most-read posts of 2017 on this blog within two weeks of publication.
If you haven’t read it, make sure you do, if you have, it’s time to re-read it, as it’s time for you to implement it…
You can probably imagine that this was not the only time I used this strategy.
In this post, I will share with you how I got paid, big time, using this strategy and how you can also do the same thing.
My Website
You need to know that I have a WordPress website that I started 5 months ago, and at that time I had pretty much no clue what I was doing, just my enthusiasm and my ability to write. (You probably noticed that I am a great writer.)
Please note that it is a brand new site, with no Google-love, so the strategy works for absolute newbies with new sites a few months old.
My site has to do with expired domains, which is, I need to admit, a bit unusual and weird; therefore, I just started a new WordPress website. I leave all the domain stuff to the old one, and I am transferring all the stuff about starting a profitable website/blog to the new one.
Therefore all the links will point to this new site, not the old one, and you will be hearing about it and a lot of cool stuff in the future.
How I Used My Strategy
I am going to be completely transparent here so that you can see and use this method.
And I could charge money for this if I wrote an e-book, but instead I am giving it away for free.
I knew about long tail keywords since 2008 when I first dabbled in website building.
I actually built an old-style website at that time based on a long-tail keyword and I ranked it on the first page of Google.
I did this with the website itself, not with just a page, and, with all the Google Penguin and Panda updates I thought these were all methods of the past. Until I read a post on Neil Patel’s blog with the title How to Show Up on the First Page of Google (Even if You’re a Nobody).
I have been reading Neil’s blog for several months and that was a lightbulb moment.
I jumped on Google and I read everything I could find on the subject of long-tail keywords.
Then I wrote 4 posts with such keywords and posted them on my blog, on a “We’ll see what happens” basis.
I was pretty shocked to see my first post show up on the second page of Google and then advance to the first page in a week’s time.
And I was equally stunned to see the other posts show up on the first page right away.
My Utmost Surprise
To tell you the truth, I didn’t expect much from this. I was ready for failure.
I just kept signing up for top paying affiliate programs and kept posting my links. I didn’t even check them afterward.
Imagine my utmost surprise when I one day logged into one of my affiliate accounts…and I saw something crazy. Then I logged in a few days later and I had a double surprise…
And to be transparent, this is the post that earned me the commissions, 2166 words long:
Human Proof Designs: Ready Made Amazon Affiliate Niche Websites For Sale
And I want you to understand that I did almost zero promotion, I tweeted the posts out to my 250 followers and that was it!
This morning I woke up and I checked my email. This is what found:
MageOmega: Affiliate Sale |

|
Again, to be completely transparent, here is the post that earned me the commission (1907 words). I originally wrote this post as an 800-word article and I upgraded it when I saw that the keyword was starting to rank in my search console.
For those who are not familiar –
– A funnel is simple: the series of steps to take in order to take a complete stranger that visits your website and convert them into being your client.
– Mage Omega is a very specific funnel that sells only one single product. It drives traffic from targeted Facebook ads promoting that single product and only those people click on your ads that are interested in the first place. There are specific tested upsell tactics in the funnel to double and triple your profits.

Again, this sale is from a couple of tweets and just a trickle of organic traffic.
How Many Visitors
The next logical question you probably have is the following:
How many visitors did my site get in order to achieve these sales?
Grab a chair if you are not sitting, you will be completely shocked to hear my answer.
This site is only getting 10-25 pageviews per day and it has received 127 organic visitors in the last month (see the Google Search console image below).
As you can see,
- my reviews are long form
- very detailed and not just BS
- show that I actually know these products well and I put my time in examining them
- I don’t push anyone to buy, I just provide objective information that helps the person to decide if they need this product
- the seller of the products have their own sales funnel with videos/webinars and I connect the person
Your best reviews are those that you personally used and realized what the little tricks are.
My New Website
I will introduce my new website to you some other time.
It is called FunnelXpert, and it is about funnels: sales funnels, webinar funnels, and everything that goes into it to make your site or blog profitable.
If you liked what I did above, hop over. It actually demonstrates what a sales funnel is like, what it does. I’d like to invite you to come over, sign up, experience it yourself, and use what you learned to build a 5-figure blog or website.
