St. Patrick's Day Blogger Meet and Greet

Welcome to Our St. Patrick’s Day Blog Party!

St. Patrick’s Day is this Friday, March 17. Since the holiday is celebrated in many countries around the world, it’s a wonderful occasion for the international blogging community to celebrate.

At today’s blog party, we are having cake.

Blogger Meet and Greet St. Patrick's Day

In the comments section, you are encouraged to self-promote.

Introduce your blog to the other guests at the party. Tell the readers about your blog, and post a link to your favorite post, a recent post, your About page, your blog link, or anything you like.

If you are not already following Mostly Blogging, I like new subscribers too.

Note: At other Meet and Greets, guests return and leave different links to articles in different comment boxes. You are welcome to return as often as you like and leave links.

I am hoping others will be able to find new blogs to read and new bloggers to connect with.

Enjoy the cake and the networking.

Guests, if you think others would enjoy the networking opportunities at our Meet and Greet, please share on your social media. The more guests at the party, the more networking opportunities for all of us.

If you get a chance to promote the link to this party on your site, that would also be much appreciated since it would help make others aware of this blog party.

    Hi Janice,

Slowly catching up and like I said on the blogging network group….”I’ll be back…” Et voila!

Happy weekend to all who might pop in and pop across to my blog

It’s been a slow start to the year with writing that goes on outside the blogosphere…can’t do both simultaneously…but things are now settling a bit and my last post has links to some of my amazing blog community. Very diverse, from authors, to artists, to mindfulness and well being…despite me being an author of horror, supernatural, fantasy fiction, psychological thriller and more…hoping to publish one of my novels this year if I can stop procrastinating…which I’m rather good at ?

Anyone that pops over will find me chasing you down and most likely following too!

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Gary,
Thanks for coming to my blog party yesterday. It looks like you were the first one to arrive!
You and I have much in common– I’m good at procrastinating too! Goo luck with your novel! Did you say psychological thrillers?! Did you know I love Stephen King?
Great seeing you this weekend on Facebook and on the blog.

      • Gary Jefferies

        Hi Janice,
Yes, first here hasn’t happened in a very long time!! I’m trying to get s routine back after reclaiming my sons laptop. He had a PC upgrade so I thought mobile social media on an iPad is not ideal. Used to be with one follower and just a blog! Now at weekends with three sites open for the social media sharing groups it can’t cope with the volumes of data being churned on three open browsers. Last weekend was proof of point and I can now still blog hop whilst watching football!! Not do easy at my own work station!!

I write quite diversely and swap genres. The one being submitted is a psychological thriller yes. The one I’m finalising is more a psychological horror and one I’ve just put into manuscript format is a blend of YA, psychological, fantasy fiction drifting between worlds and time. Odd thing is there are connections between all of them for readers to spot! If you like King, then these might appeal. I’m currently trying to catch up on his back catalogue where I’ve missed some!

Always about at weekends on the sharing thing too. Great group and is really growing since the start. Be good to have a similar stumble upon network like that too I think.

Good to be back too ?

        • Janice Wald

I didn’t know you liked football. I’ve never seen The appeal myself. Maybe this summer on vacation I will have a chance to read one of your psychological thrillers.

        • Janice Wald

I’m glad your computer situation is better. Tech problems can be frustrating.

          • Gary Jefferies

I follow a few sports, used to play football when I was much younger both for the school and in a Sunday League. I appreciate its not everyone’s cup of tea and both my boys show zero interest too!! Hopefully I’ll be able to find a publisher by then. I’m starting submissions this week. Once I’ve got over the hurdle once then I think it will be less stressful next time.

The computer thing was onerous more than difficult. Fortunately I’m reasonably savvy there! I’d love to actually build one myself; I mean once you open them up there’s not a lot to them really. Hardest bit is keeping operating system clean and fast running!

          • Janice Wald

Wow! I am not text savvy at all.

      • Janice Wald

        Hey Derrick!
Good day to you! Thank you for coming to my blog party! Nice seeing you here and on Twitter.

      • Ellen Hawley

My pleasure. The occasional bit of serious stuff happens as well, but where’s the fun in that?

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Ellen,
I bet your engaged community are more engaged than ever. Smart condoms?! Too funny. I agree with Mary. Thanks for filling us in on what’s happening across the pond.
Do you know how/why that expression started? Why would people call the Atlantic Ocean “a pond”? Good to see you.

      Hi Donna,
I was just writing with the guest that came to the party before you yesterday– another Donna! Sounds like your blog provides much-needed support for mid-lifers.

      • Donna

Hi, Janice – I have already checked out several of the links from this party and made some nice connections. Thank you!

    • Phyllis Goldberg

I grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Donna, but have lived in Southern California for 40 years now. After reading your post, I plan to explore the idea of a home exchange program.

  4. Pat

Oooh I do love a party. Thanks for the invite. I blog from Switzerland about family, food, travel, sport & international living…/03/11/skiing-above-the-clouds/

Would love to meet you… so hope you’ll stop by.

    • stephanie

      Hi Patty,

I’m having difficulty accessing your link. Perhaps the entire url didn’t get copied?

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Pat,
Nice to meet you. Thanks for coming to my blog party yesterday. I started out as a travel blogger, but now I blog about blogging.

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Vernon,
I am so glad we are back in touch! It was great to see you yesterday. Thanks for coming to my blog party and telling us about your blog.

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Laura!
It’s nice to meet you! Thank you for networking with the other guests here. Thank you as well for coming and telling us about your blog. Happy early St. Patrick’s Day to you.

    • Phyllis Goldberg

What a bitter/sweet time of life. Blogging about letting go as children leave for college and beginning to re-feather your empty nests is of value to so many parents.

  5. Romaine Clarke

Hey everyone, thanks for the networking opportunity.
My blog is about helping people up their blog writing game. Everyone wants to make a blog but not everyone can write, I want to change that. I want to help people display their content in the best possible way.

To be honest, I’m getting really tired of reading choppy blog posts because its distracting me from their awesome tips. So it’s kind of selfish in that respect.

I also talk about random life things also, so if your intrigued, pop over to and check it out.

Once again, thank you Janice for the opportunity to network and discover new blogs 🙂

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Romaine,
It is always my pleasure to host. I appreciate you coming.
Everyone: I have been to Romaine’s blog. It really is informative. You will find helpful blogging tips at his site.

    • Phyllis Goldberg

Romaine, your site is charming and as welcoming as your offer to help others!

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Everyone,
I’ve read Rena’s post. It is a comprehensive overview of your choices.

  6. Donna Parker

You had me at cake, and at party, and at St. Patrick’s Day, well, faith and begorrah, dear Janice, you always have me, you and your blog are amazing! Thanks for inviting me to this party!
My name is Dona, I blog about just about anything and everything, with a lot of humour and not as often as I should so you don’t have to worry about me clogging your inbox lol 😉 Here’s my latest Drop by, stay a spell, you might never wish to leave.
I’m off to meet and greet and share – May you have the hindsight to know where you’ve been, the foresight to know where you are going, and the insight to know when you have gone too far.
Thanks again, dear friend, always enjoy your parties – May your thoughts be as glad as the shamrocks. May your heart be as light as a song. May each day bring you bright, happy hours that stay with you all the year long.
Hope this weekend treats you kindly and enjoy the wearin’ of the green on Friday.

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Donna,
“faith and begorrah”– am I detecting a bit of the Irish in you? I didn’t know!
Thanks for reminding me to wear green on Friday. I’m a teacher; students notice that sort of thing.
Your glowing comments about my blog are much appreciated.
Everybody, Donna’s posts are hysterically funny and entertaining. She’ll take you back to the greatest video clips and memes from TV and movies of all time.
Donna, thanks for coming to the party.

      • Donna Parker

Yes, Janice, Irish on my Mom’s side, but we’re all Irish (and lucky) on St. Patty’s Day! 😉
Thanks for everything and beware tomorrow, you know, the Ides of March. 😉

  7. Angela Johnson

Janice, this blog party is a great idea. Thanks for implementing it.

I’ve always loved reading about how people lived in the old days, and have gravitated towards cooking and cookbooks. At this time, I’m reading old cookbooks from the 1800s. My blog, Vintage Recipes and Cookery shows what I’m discovering.

Although I like to live in modern times with refrigeration, electricity and modern conveniences, I enjoy learning how people cooked and what they ate “way back when.”

    • stephanie

I thoroughly enjoyed reading some of the posts in your blog. I will be back! What a great topic. As an avid cook and baker, I find the topic fascinating.

    • Janelle McCoy

I enjoyed your blog. I believe we have a lot in common. I was wondering if you had links to follow you on social media?

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Angela,
Thanks for your compliments on my blog party. We do this every two weeks. I am always happy to host. I see you, Stephanie, and Jem made a connection. I’m glad.

  8. Matt LaClear

Wow, I love the idea of a blog party, super great idea Janice. I’m looking forward to participating in it!

As an SEO agency owner, the only time I ever blogged was for clients. Now I’m at the stage of my career where I feel dirty creating content for others if I’m not also creating content of my own. It’s hard to put that feeling into words so I won’t attempt to.

With that in mind, I blogged a 20,000-word tutorial helping bloggers and small business owners boost their traffic utilizing a system combines SEO, influence marketing, networking, curation, and blogging. It’s posted at for those interested in the topic, or in offering a critique.

Now to dive in to all your blogs!

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Matt,
I loved seeing you at the party this weekend. Thank you for joining us.
You are clearly well-respected in your niche. I saw your Twitter following! Now I hear about your 20,000-word tutorial!
      You deserve your success.

      • Janice Wald

        Hi Angela,
I saw your headline. A blog tour! Doesn’t that entail a lot of guest posting? I have trouble finding time to write on my blog! If you have any time-saving tips, bring them!
Thanks for coming to my party yesterday.

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Rexie,
As I told you when I visited your site, you and I are like-minded. I’ve blogged about tech often. I am planning more app reviews but I have done them before.

  9. Stefani Harris

Hi everyone! Happy early St. Patty’s Day! I just wrote a blog post about Skype and how easy, efficient and productive it is to use for meetings. It’s our go-to tool for meeting with clients and each other (my biz partner and I live in different cities). We’d greatly appreciate any shares, comments, or other love you’d like to show our post. 🙂 And, we are here to help you with all of your web design and development, web maintenance, and graphic design needs. THANK YOU!! Here’s the post:

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Stefani,
Don’t we have the same maiden name? I will jokingly refer to you as my long-lost cousin!
It’s so great that you and I are in the same blogging niche. What a great idea to write about Skype. I commented on the article and then tweeted using the Click to Tweet.
You are such a supportive community member. You network at blogs (certainly mine), you provide a forum for bloggers to connect on Facebook. All this went on this week while it was your birthday. You are so giving of your time and support. I am such a fan of yours.

      • Stefani Harris

Awwww….that is so nice of you to say! Thank you, Janice! Not maiden name…but we’re part of this huge Greenfield family. Distantly…but I have some Greenfield in me for sure. 🙂 Thank you for all of those kind words you said! I REALLY love what you’re doing here with these link parties! So creative and helpful! And all of your blog posts are soooo educational and informative. I printed three of them earlier today so I could up my SEO game…and learn about Reddit! Thank you for that!! Off to read some more posts in here! 🙂

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Betty,
I once heard the song “Looking for Love…” performed live. Thanks for coming to my blog party this weekend. You have a blessed week.

  10. Kirsten Barger

Hi, I’m a freelance writer/copy editor, and I’m working on getting a poetry book (self) published. I also have a mystery book in final edits before publication. I muse about life over at Come visit the Chaos Realm…I have glitter!
    (Thanks for hosting, Janice Wald!)

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Kristen,
Glitter? Now you have me curious. Congratulations on your mystery book. I also recently authored a book, a blogging tips ebook.
Thanks for coming to my blog party and telling us about your writing.

    Janelle AKA JEM

    • Janice Wald

I have so missed you. I even wrote Patty and asked about you. She told me you stopped blogging. I am so happy to see you back! Welcome back!

      • Janelle McCoy

I never fully stopped, I just took a few months break. The transition from Army life to not Army life has been a good ride, summer is hard to blog because of the 4 kids and gardening and I started a more in depth herbalist training courses. Isn’t that why blogging is so great? When you need a break you can take it but when your inspired you can write your heart out?

And thank you. I am happy you care 😉

          • Janelle McCoy

I was just thinking that the other day.

We need to chat. Email or Facebook? Let me know.

        • Janice Wald

I would love to “chat”. Definitely email, if that’s okay. I’m flattered you were thinking of me the other day. I’m looking forward to catching up.

Hi all! Excited for St Patrick’s Day coming up.. hoping to try out some cool looking ideas I found on Pinterest to bring for my co-workers to try out, we’ll see! I hope everyone has a great week leading up to the holiday.

If you are on Pinterest I would love to connect with you! Here is my latest infographic pin: – I write about mental health topics and this week I explored the difference between depression and sadness (if you prefer to read the original blog post here is the link:

Looking forward to checking out your links, as well!

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Heather,
You are such a sweet person. I can tell even though we’ve only met online.
I clicked your link and followed you on Pinterest where I saw your impressive infographics. Mine look so basic. What tool do you use to make them?
Great seeing you here and on Facebook. Thanks for coming to my St. Patrick’s Day party. I need to find a green outfit for Friday.

      • Heather LeGuilloux

Hi Janice! 🙂 I use Canva to create all of my graphics and infographics. Most of my photos come from Pexels or other free sources (or Canva). It’s an awesome tool, let me know if you need any tips! I taught myself but there are probably other tutorials out there. Thanks for hosting the party!

        • Janice Wald

I would love tips Heather if you have any articles about those three sources. Thank you.

    • Stefani Harris

      Hi Heather,
Thank you for writing about such important topics. I am quite familiar with depression from my personal experience and from many around me. Thank goodness more education and information has come out about depression and it’s not as taboo as it once was. But, there’s still a ways to go until more people can understand it (causes, treatments, etc.). I’m really enjoying reading your posts!! Thank you!

  16. Chad

I got a new subscriber today named Chad! If that is you, welcome!
You wrote you just found my blog. May I ask where? I always wonder what promotional methods are working for me. I have other readers in your niche here.

      Hi Megan,
Welcome! I agree! You write about Ireland! You came to the right party. I’ve been to Ireland (where I kissed the Blarney Stone), and my sister-in-law is Irish.

  19. Phyllis Goldberg

Thanks for throwing this party, Janice! On St. Patrick’s Day I’m also celebrating my second of five grandsons – it’s Jesse’s 15th birthday.

My website,, is for Sandwich Generation women managing the challenges of parents growing older and kids growing up. The focus lately is on “Whose Couch Is It Anyway?” and how to navigate the generation gap when adult children boomerang back home.

Please check out a recent blog post about Valentines Day. There’s no reason to limit the emotional gifts we share to one day:

  20. Grammy Dee

Thank you Janice for sharing at #BloggingGrandmothersLinkParty #LinkUp #BlogParty. I shared on social media

  21. Priscilla King

Hello, everyone! I’m more than half Irish, although it doesn’t show, and wore a shawl with green streaks in it to work this morning 🙂 My blog (mostly-book-and-writing plus animals, nature, recipes, politics, science, comedy, and whatever else crosses our minds) has gone into pay-per-view mode, but it’s fully visible today because someone sponsored a post. You, too, can sponsor posts, bring my new posts into the light, and persuade me to follow and link to your blog or site…or hire me to write guest posts there.

(I’ve actually written a lot of guest posts…most of which don’t “sound like me” and weren’t meant to. I recently did a month’s worth of guest posts that read as if they *might* have been written by a 25-year-old Norwegian semi-serious bicycle racer, because that’s who supplied the facts to be written up…that kind of thing.)

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Priscilla,
A month’s worth of guest posts! You’ve been busy! Happy St. Patrick’s Day and welcome to my party!

  22. Menaka Bharathi - Bloggers Pit Stop Crew

Hello Janice! I seem to have missed the party though. Hope you had a wonderful St Patricks Day!Thanks for joining The Bloggers Pit Stop
