Can you even believe it? I have been nominated for the Liebster Award. It is an award for new bloggers with 200 or less followers. I definitely qualify! It’s purpose is to recognize and promote new bloggers. Liebster means dearest, so this is the dearest award for bloggers. I am beyond flattered, beyond excited.
So you get to know new bloggers, they get to know you, and we all go around helping each other!

- What is your blog about?
My blog is still taking form. No matter what I write, I primarily show connections. It even occurred to me I could have named my blog “Connections.” Whether I show connections between the past and present or show connections between literature and media and current events, connections between unlike genres seems to be what I focus on. - What is your inspiration for writing?
As I explained in my “About” page, the film “Julie and Julia” inspired me to want a blogger in my family. At the time, I had no idea it would be me! Around the time the movie was released, I entered a Masters Program in Education. I loved the analysis that the Masters level writing brought and realized I could still experience that Adrenalin rush by blogging. - If you could give one piece of advice to fellow bloggers, what would it be?
First, self-promoting is important and time-consuming, possibly even more than the blogging! My advice would be to schedule time for blogging, self-promoting, and responding to comments. - What is your favorite genre of music?
Pop or show tunes, whatever I’m in the mood for at the time. - What do you do in your spare time?
I blog! When I’m not blogging, I love to attend musical theater. My husband and I enjoy television almost every night. I also like the movies. - What’s in your cup? Coffee, Tea, Cocoa?
Definitely coffee. More and more the last year I’ve been drinking tea. My daughter turned me onto Vanilla Chai tea. I’ve also increased my coffee intake as well. - What is your favorite color?
Hunter green or any shade of blue. - If you won the lottery today, what would you do with your winnings?
