Welcome to the Inspire Me Monday Linky Party for September 5. Happy September! If you are joining us from the United States, thank you for spending your Labor Day holiday with us.
Weekly Wrap Up
Tuesday: Search engine optimization can be confusing enough. Just when you think you understand SEO, Google removes Page Rank as its search engine ranking criteria and replaces it with Domain Authority. This Is Why People Care About Domain Authority explains what Domain Authority is and how you can increase it to improve your blog’s chances of being found in search engines.
Wednesday: I read online that relaxed bloggers find joy in blogging. I beg to differ now, and I begged to differ in my article. Successful Blogging: Do You Need Certain Qualities? explains why I believe it is the regimented blogger who will experience blogging joy, not the relaxed blogger. Readers wrote in on whether they agreed with me, the author of the quote, or both of us.
Saturday: To commemorate Labor Day in the United States, I held a blog party. The festivities are still in full swing, plenty of guests are still at the party to mingle with, and there’s still plenty of virtual cake left. Please join us if you didn’t get a chance over the weekend.
Sunday: After blogging for almost two years, I finally taught myself how to use PicMonkey, a free, popular photo editing site. My article How to Easily Use a Free, Popular Photo Editing Site: PicMonkey offers a tutorial if you aren’t already familiar with this tool.
My first choice for Inspirational Post went to Emily’s Command Center Organization and Inspiration. Emily, the admin blogger, has these “command centers” all over her house which keep her organized. The post explains how you can have them too. The best part of the post– due to Emily embedding slides in her article, you can actually see these command centers.
My next choice was Chelsea Marrs’s post How to Make a Media Kit for Bloggers. The post explains how to make a media kit, a blogging resume of sorts, and why you might need one.
Last week, the post clicked most often was Fairy Light Project: DIY Solar Light Chandelier.
Yay! Hooray! Congratulations to all the winners!
For organizing this networking opportunity, it is considered polite to follow your hostess.
That’s me! I’m Janice!
