Welcome to the Inspire Me Monday Linky Party for November 9. Thank you for joining us.
What a week I had last week, a week full of accolades.
First, Michael Rios gave me a shoutout full of kind words in his article. He actually accompanied it with a virtual statue with my name on it. No one has ever made me a virtual statue before. I was very touched. Click the link if you’d like to see it.
Talk about shoutouts! I got the shoutout to beat all shoutouts. So, get this– Jason Cushman (Opinionated Man) put together a hypothetical team who would help him with his 56,000 followers. If memory serves, he only assembled a team of five people, and I made the cut! I was so touched (okay, I was touched often last week), I think I wrote an Oscar acceptance speech on his blog. But hey, I will never get an Academy Award, and this honor actually means just as much.
I also received a shoutout from my friend Gary. He mentioned bloggers in his “Blogger Nation.” I am assuming I made the cut. Gary recommended his readers come see me for blog promotion tips.
On Tuesday, my guest author, the inspirational Richard Schulte, wrote a post about engaging readers. He engaged my readers so much that the page views and the comments are continuing to soar almost a week later.
On Thursday, I published my fourth International Weekly Roundup. I am always looking for links to promote. If you’d like exposure and promotion for your article, put the link in the comments section along with your country of residence.
On Saturday, I held a Meet and Greet to celebrate my husband’s birthday. I couldn’t blog due to our celebration of the festivities, so I threw my husband a virtual birthday party, so my site wouldn’t be dark.
Everyone is still having a wonderful time. I hope you will join us. As a matter of fact, Joan Kerrigan promoted the party to her readers, and I met some great new bloggers.
Speaking of Joan, she is living proof, along with so many others, that our StumbleUpon group works. Joan received 165 page views from StumbleUpon in just one day. A researcher in the United Kingdom is so impressed with the effectiveness of our blog’s StumbleUpon group, he is actually researching its effectiveness.
In lieu of a testimonial, Joan wrote an entire post explaining to her readers the effectiveness of our group which will be published on this site in the upcoming weeks. She offered a screen shot showing her statistic that our group’s efforts really do result in mass traffic. When you multiply that one day’s traffic times many days over a month, that kind of referral traffic is mind-boggling.
The group isn’t the only part of this phenomenon getting activity.
If you are subscribed to this blog, please come join our StumbleUpon group.
On Sunday, I recommended Quora and explained why I felt this site is beneficial to bloggers.
Now let’s talk about you.
The two inspirational posts I chose had to do with decluttering. My husband and I save everything, so decluttering is a topic near and dear to me.
The first post I chose was 31 Days of Decluttering. Emily, the admin blogger, starts her post discussing her action plan for decluttering, then spends the remainder of the post discussing how she decluttered her bedroom. Apparently, this was Day 19 of the 31 days.
The other post I liked explained how to get more room on your smartphone. I’ve actually learned some of these posts from a smartphone class I took. There is no need to take a class, just read Lindsay’s post, 6 Surprising Ways to Free Up Space on Your Iphone.
Last week we had 369 posts, 19 more than the week before! The most popular post was Harvest Chicken and Potatoes.
You are encouraged to follow your hostess!
That’s me! I’m Janice!
Meet Your Other Hostesses
The linkup is now on seven blogs, so your one post will be seen on my blog plus six other blogs!
