As I read Betty’s post, I was brought back to various stages of my life. First, as Betty recalls watching her daughter struggle with the pains of labor, I was brought back to the day I struggled with labor pains for the same reason Betty’s daughter did: the doctor said I wasn’t dilated enough yet to receive pain medication. (Fun fact about me: By the time I WAS dilated enough, the baby was born. I never did get that medication.)
Next, Betty calls mothers “Prayer Warriors.” She asks if we are able to count the times we prayed for our children knowing full well it is a number too great to count. Did this resonate with me as well? Yes! My son-in-law Dean just returned yesterday from a two-month tour of duty in the Middle East.
Mother’s Day Brunch Recipe Collection
Congratulations to winning blogger Miz Helen. As I scrolled through the food images, I imagined myself serving the meals at my own breakfast brunch. Although Miz Helen’s theme is Mother’s Day, you can serve these any time, provided the strawberries needed for some of these recipes are in season.
