Welcome to the Inspire Me Monday Linky Party for October 26. Can you believe it’s the last Monday of October? Thank you for joining us.
What a week since I last saw you!
On Monday, Tim Gatewood generously shared his blog space by promoting three of my articles! Considering I can’t be reblogged as a self-hosted blogger, I am beyond grateful when bloggers find a way to promote my writing.
On Wednesday, Tessa Smeigh promoted my Follow to Follow Directory as well.
On Friday, Jason Cushman reviewed my blog. I was delighted that he gave me a favorable review. Jason is the original Opinionated Man, so I was relieved he had a complimentary review of my blog and my efforts to empower my readers.
On Saturday, I received a link from an influencer. Ileane Smith’s blog, Basic Blog Tips, linked to my Piktochart article. I read and write a great deal about the importance of getting a link from an authority site, so I was excited that I did.
Now I have a big announcement:
On Sunday, Michael Rios and I decided to cross promote each other’s blogs to our readers.
I have written about the potential for massive traffic from both StumbleUpon and Reddit. The problem is you can’t self-promote at either site. How can you get tremendous traffic from sites that frown on you putting your links there?
Michael and I have come up with the answer. I am going to be starting a group on my site for people that want their links added to StumbleUpon, and Michael will be starting a group for bloggers that want their links added to Reddit.
If you are following our blogs, you will be apprised when the links to the respective groups go live.
In the midst of all this excitement, I did manage to get in some publishing.
On Tuesday, I published the first in a two-part Instagram series. Look for Part 2 to come out tomorrow. Both posts explain how to get traffic to your blogs from Instagram.
On Thursday, I had the second International Weekly Roundup. At the last linky party, I revealed that Keesha Metcalf revealed herself as a Jamaican. If you’d like to read her “coming out” article, it’s published at the roundup.
On Sunday, I described Gertrude Nonterah’s technique. She devised a combination of factors when, used together, equals a successful blog.
Oh, did you come for a linky party? Well, we’d better get to it!
Every week I explain how torn I am. When it came to this first post, I was not torn. I am being real here. Coach Debbie won the Inspire Me Linky party with her post. I am aware that she’s won other linky parties with this post as well.
Try to guess what the topic of this celebrated article is. What is the one thing every blogger wants but can never get enough of? This is not my opinion either. I’ve read articles where they surveyed bloggers and asked what is the one thing they want more of. Coach Debbie explains how to find it in her article. Did you guess? It’s time! Enjoy Coach Debbie’s Blogging on a (Time) Budget.
This next post is about technology which I believe people are confused by. People ask for gift cards for Ebooks as presents. Often, the well-meaning party guest doesn’t know what that is let alone where to buy a gift card for it. Raki’s posts gives clarification about Ebooks and podcasts, another technological newbie people are confused about. Raki called her article How Podcasts Can Help You Get More Done.
Last week, there were 340 posts. The post clicked on the most often… DIY Lip Balm Refill.
Congratulations to all the winners.
You are encouraged to follow your hostess!
That’s me! I’m Janice!
Meet Your Other Hostesses
The linkup is now on seven blogs, so your one post will be seen on my blog plus six other blogs!
Each host picks their own two favorites. In addition to exposure here, graphics from the winning posts are pinned to the Inspire Me Monday Pinterest Board. The party is live until Thursday morning.
