Black Excellence: Singing and Coding During Slavery
Congratulations to this week’s winner, Betty. Fun fact about me: I teach history. However, I didn’t know the facts Betty shared. For instance, songs sung during slavery were actually coded messages. Even though Black History Month just ended, I found this educational as well as inspirational.
The Olympics and Sunday Dinners
This week’s winning blogger, Kristin, does something pretty novel: She shares a post about the Olympics with a recipe of what she ate for dinner while watching the Olympics. Also, I learned her mom was a figure skater, so, like with Betty’s post, I found this article/recipe to be educational as well as inspirational.
