I had a week full of honors.
I received a shout out from Eric’s Blog. Erick Klingenbert posted a list with 22 blogs that he’d recommend to others under various categories, and I made the cut! My blog fell into the “blogs with fantastic writing and blogging advice” category. I was honored to be included in such an esteemed list.
I also received a shoutout from Shailaja V who mentioned me in a Twitter Chat along with blogging celebs Jeff Bullas and Darren Rowse. I am so flattered.
The Liberal Values Network picked up my guest author’s post 3 Reasons You Should Not Immediately Want Blog Followers which was published on Tuesday. I always get curious when I find out political publications pick up my articles since I don’t blog about politics. Then, I get amused when I find out which of my articles they wanted to run.
On Thursday, I had my Best Links of the Week, Weekly Roundup. If anyone has any blogging, writing, social media, productivity, or technology posts they would like me to promote on that weekly feature, please put it in the comments section.
On Saturday, I described the premise of the Sticky Blogging technique. Some hadn’t heard of it, and others expressed they’d already been doing it without knowing the name of the strategy.
Before sitting down to pen Sunday’s post, I received requests from two readers who asked for information about guest posting. Instead of looking at it like a coincidence, I saw it as an opportunity to change gears and write an article answering questions about the manners involved in guest blogging.
Now, let’s talk about you.
This week I was torn among four that I considered inspirational. There were two new topics I decided to go with.
First, the admin blogger discusses her son’s grandma, a nearly blind woman. She can not experience his “firsts” the way grandmother with sight can. So, what is the perfect gift for her? You will have to read An Unexpectedly Perfect Gift for a Blind Person.
Next, Colleen brought a post that discussed anti-sexism to our linky party which I found inspirational. This interesting post, How Male-Dominated Workplaces Negatively Affect Women’s Health, discusses the physical effects of women when they experience sexism on the job and an interesting finding–they don’t leave! Check out the article.
Last week we had 328 posts. The post clicked on the most was… Ghost Pudding Cups.
Congratulations to the winners!
Although it is not required, it is considered polite to follow your hostess!
Welcome! I’m Janice!

The linkup is now on seven blogs, so your one post will be seen on my blog plus six other blogs!
