On Monday Firepole Marketing published my guest post 7 Apps That Transform Overwhelming Email Inboxes into Organized Bliss.
On Thursday I posted the second in my new series the Thursday Weekly Roundup.
On Sunday I featured guest author Eric Schlehlein. Eric was kind enough to explain to my readers how he was able to get a blog following of more than 3,000 people in less than eighteen months. Actually, his last follower count was 3,052. He did it without gimmicks or paying for followers like I have heard some people do.
His advice is actually simple, common sense. Eric called his guest post, “Setting the Hook.” Lorie Smith Schaefer of the Lorie Schaefer blog linked to the article, so her followers could read it. If you are interested in how to get 3,000 new followers to your blog, click Eric’s link.
In this coming week, I will be publishing a Link Exchange list as a way to say “thank you” to my blog followers. A link into your site by a blogger with similar content is a great way to improve your SEO. If you follow my blog, and would like to be included, put your blog link and blogging niche in the comments section to this post.
Now, let’s talk about you.
This week I was again torn. I felt five posts were among the most inspirational, but I could only choose two. Perhaps the competition is getting stiffer since we had more entries this week.
My first selection went to Lessons I Learned on my First Scope. Periscope is a relatively new platform. Many people get set in their ways and are afraid to try new things. I see it as a teacher as well as a blogger. If what they are doing is working, people often don’t try to embrace new technologies. Andrea, the admin blogger, details her experiences to pave the way for bloggers attempting to try this video-taping technology.
I liked Finding the Courage to Start Writing. I have been writing on this blog five times a week for months. I forgot that it does take courage to start (and persist?), but Jessica in her inspirational post reminds us just how much courage writing takes and inspires other to try it. Hey, she inspired me, and I’m already writing!
And now, (imagine a drumroll sound in your head or pound on the table), it is time for the most popular pin of the week. Will it be one I picked? Will it be one you wrote?
The most clicked-on post of the week was $200 MONTH MENU PLAN FOR OUR FAMILY OF 5.
Congratulations to all the winners!! (You can now imagine hearing thunderous applause in your head.)
It is considered polite to follow your hostess!
