Inspire Me Monday Linky Party #46

Inspire Me Monday 1 graphicWelcome to the Inspire Me Monday Linky Party for the week of August 17.  Happy Monday!  We are so pleased you decided to join us.

On Monday Firepole Marketing published my guest post 7 Apps That Transform Overwhelming Email Inboxes into Organized Bliss.

On Tuesday, I published 6 Best Ways Bloggers Can Save Time with Templates.  I learned that the RonovanWrites blog promoted my article.

On Thursday I posted the second in my new series the Thursday Weekly Roundup.

I also found out that my guest post on Chris, the Story Reading Ape‘s site was reblogged for the thirteenth time.

On Saturday I learned that my article How to Significantly Rise in the SEO Ranks was included in SEO Today, an online publication, and it was only just published that day.

On Sunday I featured guest author Eric Schlehlein.  Eric was kind enough to explain to my readers how he was able to get a blog following of more than 3,000 people in less than eighteen months.  Actually, his last follower count was 3,052.  He did it without gimmicks or paying for followers like I have heard some people do.

His advice is actually simple, common sense.   Eric called his guest post, “Setting the Hook.”  Lorie Smith Schaefer of the Lorie Schaefer blog linked to the article, so her followers could read it.  If you are interested in how to get 3,000 new followers to your blog, click Eric’s link.

In this coming week, I will be publishing a Link Exchange list as a way to say “thank you” to my blog followers.  A link into your site by a blogger with similar content is a great way to improve your SEO.  If you follow my blog, and would like to be included, put your blog link and blogging niche in the comments section to this post.

Now, let’s talk about you.

This week I was again torn.  I felt five posts were among the most inspirational, but I could only choose two.  Perhaps the competition is getting stiffer since we had more entries this week.

My first selection went to Lessons I Learned on my First Scope.  Periscope is a relatively new platform.  Many people get set in their ways and are afraid to try new things.  I see it as a teacher as well as a blogger.  If what they are doing is working, people often don’t try to embrace new technologies.  Andrea, the admin blogger, details her experiences to pave the way for bloggers attempting to try this video-taping technology.

I liked Finding the Courage to Start Writing.  I have been writing on this blog five times a week for months.  I forgot that it does take courage to start (and persist?), but Jessica in her inspirational post reminds us just how much courage writing takes and inspires other to try it.  Hey, she inspired me, and I’m already writing!

And now, (imagine a drumroll sound in your head or pound on the table), it is time for the most popular pin of the week.  Will it be one I picked?  Will it be one you wrote?

The most clicked-on post of the week was $200 MONTH MENU PLAN FOR OUR FAMILY OF 5.

Congratulations to all the winners!! (You can now imagine hearing thunderous applause in your head.)

It is considered polite to follow your hostess!

Meet Your Hostesses

This linkup is on seven blogs, so your one post will be seen on my blog plus six other blogs!  Each host picks their own favorites.  The party is live until Thursday morning.

Janice, I’d love to be included in your Link Exchange. My new URL (hey, look who ‘adulted’ and bought the domain!) is skillupskillet.com. My niche is… hm. Obviously I’m a food blogger. Is ‘geeky food blogger’ a thing? I’d like to think so. Happy Monday!

      Hi Jeanne,
      1. I already had you under Pets. I added your second blog to “Reading.” I have someone in the literary genre of Writing who has no one to swap links with. It’s not the same, is it?
      2. Thanks for the heads up about the link. I’ll have time to check Sunday when I compose the post for the next linky party.
I should publish the Link Exchange by the end of the week. Thanks for everything.f

Huge linkey party. Loved the pizza pasta. It looked wonderful. On the link exchange, don’t the people who ask you to include their link have to already be following your blog???????????????????! I do not understand why they don’t just follow you first, then ask you to include them in the link exchange

      Hi Mary,
How exciting! We are sharing a Pinterest board, and now we are both part of a Link Swap group! I added your blog to the Writing category. the reason is as follows. Everything except photography sounds like writing, and we have one other blogger who needs someone to swap links with in the writing category. Thank you for participating.
