I had a week full of honors!
On Tuesday, I published Do You Desire Improved Blog Growth? I was concerned the headline was too short for SEO purposes, but again my Tuesday post was the highest performer of the week. Also, I finally got to use my photo of a turtle as my graphic for the post. The turtle represented slow blog growth.
Also on Tuesday, I received notification that I was nominated for the Real Neat Blogger Award! I feel so honored!
On Thursday, I decided not to publish my own content but instead make a change. I started Reblog Thursday. So many bloggers have been so supportive of my writing by reblogging my posts, reblogging the writing of others gives me a chance to give back to such a supportive blogging community. I reblogged an article that explained Etiquette in Social Media. The post contains philosophies that I agree with and advocate on my own blog.
On Saturday I received more exciting news. My May 3rd post Warning: Your 24 Hour Day is Shrinking was included in an online publication, The Declutter with Abbi Weekly Digest. The post is about how to declutter your Email inbox.
When I published on Saturday, for the first time I wrote about the photographic aspect of blogging in How to Double Your Traffic Using Simple Photographic Tips. As yearbook teacher, I know tips that can make your blog graphics appealing to the Pinterest crowd which could result in more traffic for you. I wasn’t sure how my readers would take to my changing it up, but the post was, and continues to be, of great interest to readers. I even welcomed some photography experts to my site, so I got to meet new people. The post was so well received, I am planning a follow-up post on special-effects in photography.
Since many bloggers have been writing me about how time-consuming blogging is, I reviewed 3 Shrewd Ways to Easily Triple Your Productivity. On Sunday I published the post and also found out it was included in the online publication Writing Tips.
Now let’s find out about you.
While looking for the two most inspirational posts, I came upon two craft (DIY) posts that I felt were inspirational.
Paper Hand Wreath was the first. It only takes ten minutes to make, and three-year-olds can make it. The reason I found it so inspirational is that the photo of the wreath showed a circle of hands of all colors entwined. A multicultural DIY is a great way to teach children to embrace racial differences.
The first sentence of the post Signing With Miss Steph says, “I want to inspire you today.” Miss Steph, you have done just that–you inspired me! This post is about sign language, and learning to sign the words, “I love you.”
