Welcome to the Inspire Me Monday Linky Party for January 8. Happy 2018! We are so glad you decided to join us! Welcome back!

Weekly Wrap Up

True disclosure: One of my blogging dreams is to get a link from the Huffington Post. I mean, isn’t that every blogger’s dream? They have a Domain Authority score of 80 and a Global Rank of 268. You don’t get much better than that. On Tuesday, I discovered that Huffington Post guest author Ryan Biddulph linked to my blog post Bloggers and Marketers: How to Win Friends and Influence People. What a way to start 2018, by having a dream come true! I encourage you to read Ryan’s guest post, 2 Rocking Blogging Posts to Ring in the New Year.

This is a screenshot of my dashboard. Is that incredible? I received traffic from THE HUFFINGTON POST!

Featured Posts

At first glance, Donna Parker’s post Breathe, Just Breathe sounds like a Faith Hill song. (Faith Hill recorded a song called “Breathe,” and these are some of the lyrics.) Actually, Donna’s post explains what Net Neutrality is and what the December repeal of Net Neutrality means for people who use the internet. When I posted about Net Neutrality (in a rare commentary), I shared information people thanked me for. Bloggers didn’t know what the repeal was all about. Donna’s post explains the ramifications of the Net Neutrality repeal with humor.

My next choice for Most Inspirational Post went to John Mulindi’s article 8 Reasons Your Blog Traffic is Low. John’s tips are insightful. All his tips, in every article of his I’ve read, show great insight into what it takes to be a successful blogger. This post covers all the important points. The article is a great reminder for bloggers who know these tips and great instruction for bloggers who don’t.

The Most Popular Post of the last Inspire Me Monday Linky Party was Red and White Christmas Living Room. Congratulations to the first of the 2018 winners!

Although not required, for organizing this networking event, it is considered polite to follow your hostess.

That’s me! I’m Janice! A new follower would make a wonderful holiday gift =).

Meet Your Hostesses

The linkup will be seen on four blogs. Each host picks her own two favorites. In addition to exposure here, graphics from the winning posts are pinned to the Inspire Me Monday Pinterest Board.

  4. As always, thank you so much for posting!!! Have a wonderful week =)

  5. Good evening!
    Current Japan time is midnight.
New Year’s Day is a very important day for the Japanese people.
In Japanese, New Year is called “oshougatsu”, and the very first day of the year is called “gantan”.
People decorate their houses with special decorations.
“Kadomatsu”, two groups of bamboo to place in front of the entrance; “shimenawa”, a sacred straw rope to protect the door; and “kagamimochi, round, piled up mochi (rice cakes) to appreciate and eat as a token of wellbeing.
Families with young children often send New Year’s Cards with a family photo or a picture of their children.

    • Hi Ryoma,
Thanks for coming to our linky party and telling us about the Japanese culture. Did I ever tell you my husband spent two years in Japan and is fluent in the language? Happy new year!

    • I don’t know where you live, but here in Los Angeles, it has been raining 🌧 a lot!
And so much of the country is having record cold temperatures and snow. So this is a perfect time to try your mom’s recipe for the tuna casserole, and the slow cooker recipes. Sounds yummy 😋 so thank you for sharing!
