I’m Leaving on a Jet Plane

Leaving on a Jet Plane

With apologies to Peter, Paul, and Mary, a 1960’s singing group who sang the song called “I’m Leaving on a Jet Plane,” I’m leaving on a jet plane today for my yearly July hiatus.

I’m off– first with friends and then with family.

I look forward to recharging my creative blogging juices for when I return refreshed.

Since I will be cruising, my Internet connectivity will be limited.

In the meantime:

If you’re looking for the Inspire Me Monday Linky Party, on July 9, you can visit one of the other hostesses.

Like me, the hostesses will be taking a blogging break for the last two weeks of July.

As always, if you’re looking for networking opportunities while we’re on a break or anytime, the Mostly Blogging Link Exchange has bloggers already grouped by niche for your networking opportunities.

I will see you on Monday, August 6 when the Inspire Me Monday Linky Party resumes on this site.

I’d like to say goodbye by leaving you with an appropriate song for this occasion, the Peter, Paul, and Mary’s song, “I’m Leaving on a Jet Plane.”

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Nancy,
I hope I’m not dating myself, LOL! Thanks very much for the warm wishes for my summer vacation.
      Janice

      Hi Jean,
The unplugging starts tomorrow– the Internet is costly on a cruise ship. Thanks for wishing me well on my vacation. You have a good time this summer as well.
      Janice

  1. Jeanette S. Hall

Same song I used to use when shipped out of town while working for a networking company. My husband got tired of hearing it, so had to find new music to quote. Like the month I was forced to spend in the Los Angeles area – sent him picture postcards from L.A. signed with “Love Forever More”! Now that I was forced to resign due to my health we laugh about those days. It still hurts me, though.

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Jeanette,
You’re making me homesick for LA and I only just arrived on my vacation, LOL! As far as the song, you know what they say– “Great minds think alike.” Have a great July.
      Janice

      Hey Sigrid,
You are sweet to write to wish me well on my trip. Thank you!
I hope you have a good July too.
      Janice

  2. The Curious Frugal

Have a great trip! I love the words on your flying graphic – sky above, earth below, peace within. I’ll have to remember that third part the next time I fly (I’m not exactly a calm flyer! Lol)

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Curious Frugal,
Thanks for writing to me to wish me a good time during my summer vacation. I’m glad you like my graphic– I got it from PixTeller.com, a free tool.
As far as nerves on the airplane, my friend takes Xanax on the flight and has no problem.
      Janice

  3. Philip V Ariel

    Hi Janice,
    A break is essential!
    Enjoy the vacation.
Thanks for leaving that lovely song for us to enjoy!
    Bon voyage and pleasant trip.
    All good wishes from

You are kind, Philip, thank you! Glad you enjoyed the song. Have a good time while I’m gone.

      Hi Debby,
Thank you so much. Thank you as well for being my muse– my inspiration for this “goodbye for now” post.
      Janice

  4. Melinda Mitchell

BBFFJ, now we’re talking! That’s my music!!
Enjoy your cruise, vacay, unplugged time!
Come back all tanned, and recharged to go at it again!
    Love, your BBFFM

    • Janice Wald

      Hi BBFFM,
So glad we both like Peter, Paul, and Mary! They touched our generation. Thanks for wishing me well on my trip. You have a good rest of July. “See” you in August!
      Your BBFFJ

  5. Gaurav Kumar

Owning a private jet is one of the richest dream that most of the people even think about. But, even if one cannot buy a private jet, dosen’t mean that you cannot enjoy a jet ride. Go cruising, have fun. Do share your experience when you come back.

    Cheers!

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Gaurav,
Thanks for wishing me well on my vacation and expressing interest in my experiences.
So far, we’ve visited France, England, and we are now in Ireland.
You have a great summer too!
      Janice

  6. Lesly Federici

Hope you have a wonderful experience and look forward to your posts to capture it all

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Lesly,
I am really touched you came by to wish me well on my vacation. Thank you! Have a good few weeks.
      Janice
