How the Hashtag Do #Authors Use Twitter?

Welcome to the Third Installment of Reblog Thursday!

The article How the Hashtag do #Authors Use Twitter? was originally written with authors of books in mind. However, the advice given is important to authors of blogs as well.
I also wrote an article explaining the importance of using Twitter hashtags in my post 7 Tips I Wish I Knew When I Started Blogging.  Twitter is my third best referrer of traffic. I believe my blog has received that traffic since I followed the advice offered in this post.

Excellent point “What you want is a hashtag that your target audience actually checks out.” And they do work when used effectively.

      Hi,
Nice to meet Sicorra! I actually looked up Twitter hashtags for bloggers since I offer blogging advice to bloggers. I am using most of the ones my research unearthed, so I guess I am good to go! Thank you for writing me.

Its really important to use hashtags, its just how people find topics they are interested in. Without hashtags your post is lost in twitterverse.

      Hi Heather,
Thank you for reading my reblog and writing me. I agree hashtags are important for everyone. It’s how like-minded people find themselves online. “Twitterverse” that’s creative. Mommy only has two hands–that’s cute. Thank you again for contacting me.

Great post. I hate that it has turned into made up hashtags that you know no one is searching for.

  4. Liz Mays

It’s amazing how important they’ve become for finding the information we’re searching for.

      Hi Liz,
Thank you for reading my reblog. Nice to meet you. I don’t think we’ve written each other before. I was researching the hashtags. You are right. They are important, and have been important. They continue to be and aren’t going anywhere. They are used more and more and not just on Twitter, on Instagram too. Thank you for writing me.
