Blogger Meet and Greet

Welcome to My Blogversary Party!

I celebrate my 3rd year of blogging this month.

If you have not had a chance to read my three years of reflections on blogging, I encourage you to do so.

You are all welcome to celebrate with me.

In the comments section, you are encouraged to self-promote.

Introduce your blog to the other guests at the party. Tell the readers about your blog, and post a link to your favorite post, a recent post, your About page, your blog link, or anything you like.

If you are not already following Mostly Blogging, I like new subscribers too.

Happy Blogversary

At today’s blog party, we are having blogversary cake. Enjoy the cake and the networking.

Note: At other Meet and Greets, guests are encouraged to return and leave different links to articles in different comment boxes. You are welcome to return as often as you like and leave links.

I am hoping others will be able to find new blogs to read and new bloggers to connect with.

Guests, if you think others would enjoy the networking opportunities at our Meet and Greet, please share on your social media and blogs. The more guests at the party, the more networking opportunities for all of us.

    Hi Janice,

Congrats on your blogversary and thanks for letting us tell others about our blogs.

I help make the techie side of blogging easy. In my latest blog post, I share which blogging tasks I’ll be focusing on for my second year blogging.

      • Ellen Hawley

Thanks for that, Lee. For all my joking, it’s a wonderful country–as I’m sure I don’t have to tell you. Have a fantastic trip.

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Ellen,
      I know! You’d think a calorie-free cake would go fast! =)
Thanks for coming to my party and promoting it on Twitter.
      Janice

      • Ellen Hawley

That’s the problem with calorie-free baking: The taste is as hard to find as the calories.

Hope you don’t mind me saying that. In no way am I criticizing your choice of cake.

          • Ellen Hawley

If you had a Like button on comments, I’d hit it right now.

I use to. That may have changed when I switched to HTTPS. I will investigate.

    Hi
Congratulations on a 3rd year anniversary. I mostly blog about about food with recipes, sprinkled with book reviews, living in northern Minnesota, travel experiences and dog adventures called The World According to Bella Be sure to stop by there’s something for everyone.

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Sue,
Thank you very much for the warm wishes. Thanks as well for coming to my party and telling us about your blog. I like the picture of your dog in your avatar. I’m a huge dog fan.
      Janice

    • Lee MacArthur

Looks delicious. I tend to make everything from scratch including my pumpkin pies. I actually take my Halloween pumpkin and cook it up so I have my pumpkin filling.

      • Janice Wald

        Hi Lee,
Thanks for the compliments on the cake. Good to see you. Thanks for coming to my party. Great idea about using the pumpkin.
        Janice

  5. Melinda J Mitchell

Hi Bbff Janice!! Happy 3rd Blogversary!!
Can it really be that we have only each other 2 years?

Hey y’all. I write about recovery. From slobbery! And alcoholism. And trying to break my addiction to yummy bad food. I write about the Bible, and my Savior, Jesus Christ. And oh yeah, sewing, quilting, and my grandbabies
    Pretty much something for everyone!
    http://Www.purpleslobinrecovery.com

    • Janice Wald

      Hi BBFFM,
This party wouldn’t be complete without you here. Thanks for coming. How is your new self-hosted blog coming along?
      BBFFJ

      • Melinda Mitchell

Pretty good. I still need to find the poll maker!!
And my old site now won’t let me log in! Frustrations of a not-as-techy-as-I-need-to-be blogger!
        BBFFM

    • Janice Wald

I would like to add Melinda is being far too modest. Her blog is really funny. It’s unique as well. It’s the only blog I’ve ever seen that uses alliteration 100% of the time. Sometimes she uses assonance too. She just moved to a self-hosted blog. Check it out especially if you like purple.
      Janice

      • Melinda Mitchell

Thanks, BBFFJ!! I appreciate all the compliments!! You’re gonna make me blush!

    • Janice Wald

Thanks so much Ellen. Thanks for coming as well. You and I go way back together.
      Janice

    • Janice Wald

      Hi John,
Thank YOU for being a really supportive blog follower =)
      Janice

  6. Lee MacArthur

Happy 3rd Blogaversary. This is great. I actually write two blogs. One on teaching mathematics while the other one is my general one filled with whatever strikes my fancy from history to traveling to cooking dinner fast. I know I should have a focus but the second one was for me while the first is more work oriented.
    1. http://thoughtsonteachingmath.blogspot.com/2017/11/math-and-exercise.html is my work related blog.

    2. http://myideaofparadiseetc.blogspot.com/2017/11/history-of-bikini.html is my general blog.

    Check them both out.

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Lee,
How great to see you. You and I have also known each other a long time. I’m sounding sentimental, on this, my blogversary. Thanks for coming to my party and telling us about your blogs.
      Janice

      • Lee MacArthur

It has been a couple of years hasn’t it? I don’t participate as much as I used to because life has gotten so busy, I often have no time to think but I’ve gotten good at setting my blog up to auto publish a week in advance.

  7. Kyla Matton Osborne (#RubyWriter)

Once again, happy blogversary to Janice!

I am Kyla (aka RubyWriter) and I love to blog about food – growing it, cooking it, nutrition and health benefits of food, and even the more esoteric side of food in topics like biodiversity and food security. Please check out my latest post, which is a super simple crockpot soup recipe to help you add more healthy veggie’s to your family’s diet.

Please feel free to check our the 24 Carrot Diet page on Facebook in addition to our blog. You can also find me on Twitter.

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Kya,
You and I have also known each other a long time. How is your 24 Carrot Diet project going with your daughter? Thanks for coming to my party and telling us about your writing.
      Janice

  8. Donna Parker

Happy Blogiversary dear Janice! How the time does fly! Cheers and to many, many, many more blogging years!!! xox
My name is Donna, I blog about just about anything and everything and have been doing so for about 4 years (again, how times flies). Here’s my latest, don’t let the title fool you, it’s not as much about Halloween as it is about life today, the ups and downs and generally all arounds https://yadadarcyyada.com/2017/10/26/my-big-fat-supernatural-life/
Wishing everyone a safe, peace-filled and wonderful week! Congrats Janice, I don’t know what my blogging family or the blogging world would be without you (and we don’t want to find out!). 🙂
    Big hugs xoxox

    • Janice Wald

Awww… Donna! Thank you! What kind words! What supportive (and warm and fuzzy) words! Big smile over here!
I feel the same way about you. Thanks for my coming to my party and again for the wonderful compliments.
      Janice

    • Janice Wald

LOL! Now everyone can see what a funny writer you are! Take as much cake as you’d like.
      Janice

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Karen,
Thanks for coming to my party and telling us about your blog.
      Janice

  10. Matthew Brewin

Congratulations on your blogversary, Janice (what a good idea). I’m a relative newcomer to your superb blog, but I wish I’d found it sooner.

Your posts on StumbleUpon and Flipboard prompted me to get started on these platforms just the other day. So my deepest appreciation for that.

As for me, I have a ‘digital marketing’ flavoured blog; http://likesinternetmarketing.com
(I’ll stick today’s post into CommentLuv.)

And you can follow me on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/LikesInternetMarketing

    My best wishes

    Matt Brewin

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Matthew,
Welcome! You indicated you are new to my blog. May I ask where you found Mostly Blogging? I always wonder. I’m guessing it was Quora since I recently posted those articles there.
I’m glad my articles could inspire you. Thanks for letting me know and for coming to my party today.
      Janice

      • Matthew Brewin

        Hi Janice
I recently returned to continue daily blogging after completing a number of other projects for myself and others. I therefore also jumped back onto various Facebook blog engagement groups – which is where I found a link to this blog. Quora remains an untapped platform for me at present.
        Best regards
        Matt

          • Matthew Brewin

            Thanks Janet.

Not so much a mystery as I’ve previously looked into Quora. Merely untapped, as I’ve yet to engage with it.

I did hear from a colleague in my business that conversion rates from Quora traffic have proven to be well above average.

Your Quora post is really helpful and has ignited my interest again. Thanks again!

            Matt

  11. Barbara Torris

Congratulations. I hope you enjoy writing a blog as much I do. It is one of the many things about retirement learning that has changed my life. I started over 10 years ago and a lot of words have been put out for everyone to see. I hope you have the same long lasting success.

    Barbara Torris

    • Janice Wald

Wow Barbara, 10 years! Well, I do love it and the three years have flown. Thank you for coming to my party today and wishing me lasting success; congratulations on yours.

Janice, I wanted to wish you and Mostly Blogging a gigantic Happy Three Years!.
I do honestly do intend to have my own blog as current as possible one of these days, why does something unexpected come up and why can’t I just write about that? It’s maddening!.
Wonderful as always virtual cake, I’ve no idea what’s in the recipe but it’s the only virtual cake that looks so good that the calories for sure cannot be virtual?! You’ve not heard the comments made to my scales!.

I’d like to post your story on my site if that is ok by you Janice, by all means if you are able to let me have a pic of your cover that would be great, and it’s good marketing for

    • Janice Wald

      Lynda,
