Halloween Blog Party

Welcome to Our Halloween Blog Party!

Halloween, October 31, is this Tuesday.

Halloween is traditionally celebrated in many parts of the world. The day is characterized by children in costumes going door to door asking for tricks or treats. Of course, most people give candy.

Therefore, we are having candy at today’s Halloween party.

Halloween blog party Meet and Greet for Bloggers

In the comments section, you are encouraged to self-promote.

Introduce your blog to the other guests at the party. Tell the readers about your blog, and post a link to your favorite post, a recent post, your About page, your blog link, or anything you like.

If you are not already following Mostly Blogging, I like new subscribers too.

At today’s blog party, we are also having cake.

This is a double celebration!

This is my 800th post blog!

Enjoy the treats and the networking.

Note: At other Meet and Greets, guests are encouraged to return and leave different links to articles in different comment boxes. You are welcome to return as often as you like and leave links.

I am hoping others will be able to find new blogs to read and new bloggers to connect with.

Guests, if you think others would enjoy the networking opportunities at our Meet and Greet, please share on your social media and blogs.  The more guests at the party, the more networking opportunities for all of us.

Thank you Robbie; I just replied and have been trying to find you in the wrong place!

Saturday is a blog share comment day on a FB group and I was looking for you there instead of tracking back to here! My bad!!

          • Gary Jefferies

Thank you, I’m aiming to catch up here tomorrow. Had some of those unexpected life interventions that caught me out over the weekend!!

  1. Madelyn Griffith-Haynie, CTP, CMC, MCC, SCAC

Thanks for the invitation to your party, Janice. My blog, ADDandSoMuchMORE.com focuses on what I call brain-based self-help – explaining the link between the brain, many of our experiences and a great many of our struggles, sharing ways to work with and around our challenges to live better quality, higher functioning lives.

I write about attentional struggles, but also support what I call any of the “alphabet disorders” – TBI/ABI, OCD, PTSD, etc. – as well as anxiety, depression, impulsivity, procrastination, “senior moments” etc. I’m told I explain the science in “plain English” that most people seem to enjoy reading.

Below, however, is a link to something a little different: a Halloween post “written” by my Guest-blogging Shih Tzu last year. It was well received by the dog owners and lovers in my readership. Lots of cute photos.

    HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

My blog Watercress Words is about “exploring the HEART of health with posts that inform, instruct, and inspire.” I do how to posts, health book reviews, personal stories, medical news updates, and reviews of common medical problems. • Carol Taylor

Hi loved this post…I sent the link to my grandson who is struggling at the moment in the hope he might find something which will help him he is already doing some of the steps…I told him to bake bread and knead away..lol..which he liked the sound of doing… Tweeted and shared 🙂

      • Aletha Oglesby

Thank you Carol, I’m glad you liked it and I hope it helps your grandson. I agree, working with your hands can be calming and relaxing. While I’ve been sidelined with my foot injury, I did some quilt binding to help with a project at my church. It helped me feel better, as well as knowing it would also benefit someone else later.

    • Kat

Following your blog. Do you have anything written about ibs. It would be great to hear your opinion on that.

      • Aletha Oglesby

Thanks for following me, Kat. I assume you mean irritable bowel syndrome? In which case, no I have not written about it, but I like the idea; there are new thoughts about it medically. I’ll consider it for the blog early next year, and find some news that I can post to Facebook and Twitter soon.

        • Kat

sound great! Looking forward to that. Didn’t know from new developments. If you post on twitter, you can always tag me @kuskatstudio 🙂

  6. Annabelle Franklin

Hi, my name is Annabelle and I write for children. ‘The Slapstyx’ features a tribe of goblins whose sole purpose is to put dirt and grime in human homes. My blog is called ‘The Literate Lurcher’ because my dog Millie writes most of my posts. She is a storyhound – she dreamwalks in the Land of Story and hunts down the best tales!
This post is particularly appropriate for Halloween: https://annabellefranklinauthor.wordpress.com/2015/08/23/millie-investigates-goblin-tech/

    • Kat

Love to get my hands on one of your books! Lovely Goblins and their magical world. Following your blog to read up on your stories and to get swallowed up in goblin reality.

      • Annabelle Franklin

Thank you for your kind comment and your interest in my books! Both of them are available on Amazon – if you click on the cover images on the sidebar on my blog it’ll take you to their Amazon pages. (If you’re viewing my blog on a phone you might have to fiddle around a bit to see the sidebar.)
Thanks for the follow, too – heading on over to your blog now to follow back!

  7. Vince

Hi all, this sounds like fun.

My name is Vince and I run a nutrition website. I have a strong focus on health etc. but mostly I just love writing. It seems like there is always so much to learn and no shortage of new traffic.

My best post is probably this one: http://nutritionyoucanuse.com/cacao-nibs-nutrition

I’ve been having fun with formatting recently and making content look good. The catch is that it makes the process take soooo much longer.

  8. kal

Ladies, Gents, good evening – depending on your chosen preference of the planet. First of all, a great big thanks for allowing us to promote our blogs on here. It’s an incredible way to find new readers as well as new reads for our own pleasures.

My name is Kal. I write about love, poetry, hipsters, and awkward sexual encounters. Satire for the most part, life story for the other.

My most recent post speaks on the subjects of Cats, Cougars, and unfortunate catastrophes.
    Link: https://kalifornicationx.wordpress.com/2017/10/26/cats-cougars-and-catastrophes/

My words have been recently described as intense, raw, an uncut. Heads up, that means best read if you’re over the age of 18 or wearing protection.

I look forward to returning to this page so I can check out the blogs of other people here. Thanks again.

  9. greg-in-washington

I go by greg-in-washington to cut out at least a few gregs. Thanks for the invitation to this party. I was going to decline until I saw you are needing to increase your cat bloggers on here! I had to participate as it was my duty. So, I photograph and write about my cats in humorous ways. At least, that is the premise. Here I present Scooby the cats Musical Meow Show:

    https://felinecafe.net/2017/08/16/scoobys-musical-meow-show/

I can’t guarantee this will work. Maybe I need a blogging tips website to read?

  10. Dee Dee

HI Everyone, My name is Dee Dee and my blog is https://invisible-no-more.com
I am coming up on my first blogaversary and am a little surprised I have lasted this long! I started my blog because i felt, well, invisible in my own life. My kids are grown and we are empty nesters looking for what comes next in life. I hoped to connect with others at this stage of life. My blog is about travel, cooking/baking, I write book reviews and exercise (a lot!, we run half marathons and rock climb as a family). A couple fun links:

    Happy Halloween to all!

Here is a recent post about my book being included in the celebration of authors at the Lehigh University Linderman Library: https://charlesfrenchonwordsreadingandwriting.wordpress.com/2017/10/14/harvest-of-ideas-at-lehigh-universitys-linderman-library/

Enjoyed that poem and, seeing my friend Marje there in the comments was all the reference I needed to follow you too ?

    • Norah Colvin

People put such effort into their Halloween decorations. We, mostly, don’t do nearly as much here in Australia.

  14. Michelle

Wow! What a milestone! Congratulations, Janice. Hi, Everyone! I’m Michelle, and my blog is called Two Are Better Than One. I see it as a space to inspire, coach, and empower women (in particular) and anyone who reads my posts. As an offshoot of the blog, I’ve created a Facebook community for women. 15. Grammy Dee

Thank you Janice for linking up at the #BloggingGrandmothersLinkParty. I shared your post on Fb, G+, Pin, and Tw.

    • Janice Wald

Wow! Thank you so much for all the shares! Will your Wednesday linky resume now that it’s November?

      • Grammy Dee

It should have started on Wednesday the 1st and then again on Wednesday the 15th, the first and third Wednesdays of the month…however with the fibromyalgia and other health issues, I could only manage to get to the #BloggingGrandmothersLinkParty. I think I’m going to have to limit the #WednesdayAIMLinkParty to once a month, I’m trying to decide right now what to do with it.

    • Janice Wald

It’s never too late to party Molly. Thank you for joining us.
      Janice

    • Janice Wald

I am sorry that you had stress over Halloween. I am glad everything is OK now in your community. Scary!
