Many cause and effect connections exist in blogging.

By the time you’re done reading this post, you’ll know how following these graphic design tips boost your SEO.

Follow these tips, you’ll make Google happy, and Google will reward you with boatloads of traffic.

Let’s get started.

Graphic Design Tips: How To Use Visuals To Improve Your Blog SEO

Visitor engagement is one of the primary things that Google considers while ranking your blog pages for the relevant search queries. Studies show that people are 80% more likely to read content that includes a visual and 64% more likely to remember it later because of the visuals.

In other words, it is no longer enough to simply include a featured image as part of your blog post. Instead, your articles must include images that are central to your narrative and add value to your content. When readers benefit from the visuals that you include, they are more likely to stay engaged in your article and this directly impacts your blog’s search rankings.

So how do you go about this? Here are a few tips.

Use animation to explain concepts

You don’t need to have many years of  college in art school and to be an expert in Art but try to make some sketch  in black and white with a funny sentence,

can to give a touch of fun in your blog, to make some comics cases a good tool for that it’s this

animation software for little budget.

If you are a blogger in an industry that is highly technical in nature, then a good way to explain concepts could be through interactive animations. There are a number of affordable animation companies out there that can help you with translating your inputs into an animated video that a beginner in the industry would comprehend.

A quick point to note here: Bloggers have, over the years, been conditioned to believe that they need to constantly churn new content for Google to take notice. This is no longer true. It is instead important to focus on quality over quantity. Even a handful of long-form articles with helpful animations to complement the text is better than hundreds of low-value articles.

Use visuals for backlinks

While visuals are helpful in engaging audiences, they are also highly valuable link building assets. Take the example of this Game of Thrones infographic that discusses HBO’s popular series from various perspectives – all with infographics. Building such visuals that reference pop culture trends is a sure shot way to capture audience interest who go on to link to this from various blogs and forums that they are active in.

Creating viral videos or other forms of visuals is only the first part in your link building efforts. Marketing them is critical in actually generating backlinks. You can start by promoting your content on the relevant subreddits. You can also email various blogs that write on the topic and request them to include your infographic. High-quality visuals generate a lot of backlinks using this strategy.

Invest in social media channels

Some SEO experts believe that Google considers data related to social sharing as part of its ranking algorithm. That is an article that is widely shared on platforms like Facebook and Instagram is more likely to rank higher on the search result pages. While there is not enough data to validate this, it is still a good idea to invest in social media sharing for SEO purposes.

This includes creating a following on channels like YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook to share your latest articles. It is worth noting however that user expectation differs widely with the platform. While a search engine visitor may be happy engaging with your content as long as it answers your question and is user-friendly, a social media visitor from YouTube or Instagram may place a higher emphasis on your web design and aesthetics. It is thus important to invest in a high-quality blog design (that includes logos) templates that demonstrate credibility.

Monitor continuously

Although the tips mentioned here are effective in leveraging visuals to improve your website’s SEO, it is still a guessing game for the most part. What works for one website might not work for another. Similarly, while investing in visuals or videos may help generate backlinks sometimes, you may also miserably fail at other times. Keep monitoring your backlinks to identify strategies that work and those that don’t. This way, you can figure out the right strategies and invest in producing more of them.

You’re right: If a topic is technical, pictures will help better than a complex explanation using words.

    Nice one Janice.

Visuals play a role in SEO. Point noted.

In a lecture I gave on Web accessibility earlier this year, I pointed out that images can play roles texts sometimes can’t play, which is in-line with this piece.

This both, directly and indirectly, strengthens the site’s SEO.

Thank you once more for this wonderful piece.
