Hi Gary, Thank you for stopping by and again for your lovely words. I just wanted to let you know that I don’t sell t-shirts?
I hope you enjoy my future posts!

        • Gary Jefferies | at 8:04 am

Hi Sofie, that’s funny…I’ve just had to clarify a colloquialism with Janice that is not literal in its meaning.

Been there, bought the T-shirt is an idiom taken from the following etiology

From the idea of buying a T-shirt at a tourist spot in order to show others that one has been to that spot.

Just means I popped over ? Looking forward to reading the posts ?

          • Sofie | at 7:50 am

Oh, that actually makes a lot of sense. English isn’t my first language so sometimes things like this go over my head completely. Thank you for explaining it to me!

            I really like that expression!

        • Gary Jefferies | at 8:08 am

Had to reply to your last comment here as it ran out of replies to replies!

No problem at all. I often post in a Facebook group where people whose first language is not English ask about terms or phrases they want clarification on. Love doing that so anything you get stuck with just pop over to my blog and ask or link up elsewhere if that’s easier ?

And lo, I am about caught up Janice….only taken a few hours with LOTR in the background…yes, multitasking is not the way forwards but it’s got orcs, hobbits, elves, dwarves and Gandalf…no Tom Bombadill though…and Brie is a cool cheese…I digress…again…

Caught up is a misnomer too…it’s now Saturday and not Friday so caught up turns into late by default…oops…

I hope life’s good and exams stress for middle daughter is being just that…stressy….I mean we did it so only fair they feel the pain and angst too…although as per other thread…mine don’t think I was ever young and thus feel victimised by exam pressure….I included this perspective here oddly enough ?

Kindness activation clause fellow bloggers is always, well, activated by likes or comments…in which case I shall come haunt your blogs and follow them just to be annoying ?
