Congratulations to the Bloggers who have learned the value of engagement.

Salt shaker

We love blogging! But it is no secret that it is hard work. This Pit Stop is here to assist you to build greatness. You have all heard the saying ‘You can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink.’ I saw a quote that Julie used last week, ‘You can make a horse drink if you salt its food enough

You have generally been quite good exercising engagement, but it is time to build it up even more. The Pit Stop is more than a Link Party, we are here to encourage each other and build each other up. If you quickly slip in and out – you are just spinning your wheels. Get real traction by visiting a few posts and if you appreciate the content leave a comment.

Here is a challenge: last week we had 96 awesome posts. When I subtract the clicks that our Pit Stop Crew made, there were 40 clicks, leaving an average of less than half a click for each post. (It was a lot better average the week before) Let’s have some personal growth and make awesome happen.

How about we raise the clicks, to two (2) clicks per post. That means that for every post we enter we visit two others.

What a great way to support our fellow bloggers- Consistency is what builds greatness.

The Pit Stop Crew are bloggers who collectively have significant blogging experience. We don’t know it all! We are willing to step out and try new things, to think outside the box. If something does not work we move on to more innovative solutions. All the way we are learning and going forward. Each week you will find constructive posts that relate to Blogging. We hope you will glean information to assist you to re-charge your blogging battery, or to fill up with motivation fuel, help to change a tire, find a higher gear, or reset your GPS.

Bring your posts, they can be on any subject that is family friendly –

Affiliate links within content posts are OK. (Exceptions: No direct sales or shops.) Giveaways must have a content post.

Dear bloggers, you are the reason we are here, and we are super excited to open up to you the benefits of joining the Blogger’s Pit Stop.

I’m finding this blogging a hard thing to cultivate. Too much dissasociated things going on and time…I need time management. Editing a book and school runs seriously impact the will to live lol. I think it’s cultivating the habit. I’m poor at that because self belief in being a wordmonger is just BLAH. However, what I’m seeing here is bloggers in general are pretty nice people with a common interest in helping newbies like me or just, well, being nice. The communities are brilliant and I prevaricate on good….bad….avoid. Terrible way to get going in this, to me, alien environment.

School report says must try harder…well it would if I was making one for me ?

So, I am reading consistency and engagement is the way forwards so thank you Janice et al. for keeping…nay, insisting, that we keep going and aim to grow followers and hits. King of important to a writer at the end of the day ?

P.s. Still have no clue what I’m doing lol

      Hi Gary,
I have brought you links to articles that may help. You said you need time management. This link directly addresses time management:
This is a link to all my productivity posts
I also have more planned in the upcoming weeks. Understandably, EVERYONE is interested in how to save time. No blogger has enough of it, especially those who work outside the home. Don’t feel it is just you.
Yes, you are right. Consistency and engagement–they are both pivotal. It sounds like you know exactly what you are doing =), but please send me any and all questions. I am always happy to help.

Thanks Janice. I’ll read them and ponder the next course of action. I’ve reworked my theme today to give my blog a new look if you fancy a gander to give me some feedback?

I am kind of developing a feel for what I’m doing…..ish….putting it into useful practice is crossed between editing a book and social media growth. Each are pulling at the same bit of string as it were. Don’t confuse sounding like I know what I’m doing with actually knowing lol…although with that stand point I could be a politician ? Hmmmm scary thought !!!

You mat regret the send you questions bit ?

          • Gary Jefferies | at 5:50 am

Thank you Janice. I shall compile a list. One area I’m looking at is creating a landing page, and maybe another blog page for none writing ramblings. Extensions of the gibber jabber I end up replying to you with ?

I’m not sure how easy any of those things are to do. I’ve kind of got the hang of menus with the About and Contact thing. But feel I need a broader range of things but don’t want to mix up the author ramblings with rambling ramblings…if that makes sense.

Thank you Janice, Kathleen, Debbie, Julie – wow, this is always a wonderful opportunity to meet other bloggers!!! It’s a fantastic way to engage, so on that note I’m off to visit and share this all over the place.oh and I’ll be back! 🙂
Hoppy Easter to you all, hope it’s eggs-actly as you want it to be! 🙂

  3. dgkaye | at 2:30 pm

Thanks as always Janice for allowing us to post our blogs on your share page here. I’m also going to help myself to the blogging image you kindly offer us to paste on our blogs. Happy Easter. 🙂

    • Janice Wald | at 11:02 pm

      Hi Debby,
Thanks for writing me today. (Still Friday here.) Happy Easter to you. Thank you for the kind words on Twitter as well. How great that you like the banner image Kathleen made. Great to see you my friend. I was writing you about my book on your site. I have to start over.
