Bloggers: It’s Meet and Greet Time!

#Bloggers, come join the party

Welcome to Our Blog Party!

The holidays are two short weeks away. Many people are going to holiday parties these days. Many companies, for example, are holding their holiday parties for their employees now.

To join in the festive mood, at today’s blog party, we are having holiday cupcakes.

In the comments section, you are encouraged to self-promote.

Introduce your blog to the other guests at the party. Tell the readers about your blog, and post a link to your favorite post, a recent post, your About page, your blog link, or anything you like.

If you are not already following Mostly Blogging, I like new subscribers too.

Enjoy the cupcakes and the networking.

Note: At other Meet and Greets, guests return and leave different links to articles in different comment boxes. You are welcome to return as often as you like and leave links.

I am hoping others will be able to find new blogs to read and new bloggers to connect with.

Guests, if you think others would enjoy the networking opportunities at the Meet and Greet, please share on your social media. The more guests at the party, the more networking opportunities for all of us.

If you get a chance to promote the link to this party on your site, that would also be much appreciated since it would help make others aware of this blog party.

Thank you for joining us!

What a great opportunity to link up and meet new bloggers! I love to check out other blogs that I find through friends’ posts like this. It’s been fun discovering great people who blog about things that interest me, and feeling good about them enjoying and learning from my posts as well 🙂

At 24 Carrot Diet, I blog about food, Specifically, I share recipes, talk about nutrition, food history, and sometimes even the science of food. I love to write about growing food and about subjects like biodiversity and food security as well!

Right now, I have a lot of posts going up for the Christmas season. One that I learned a lot from is this post about how to cope with holiday weight gain. I hope you’ll find it helpful! https://goo.gl/X6bsKm

    • Herlina Kwee

Hey Kyla, I read your Cherry Blossom and Orange Peel posts and shared them on G+. I like the science behind the process of making Cherry Blossom (and, of course, I love chocolate) and I like the creativity in using the orange peel instead of just throwing it away. I was a pastry gal in my former life. 🙂

    • Herlina Kwee

Haha… When you said you are known as the Chocolate Lady, I thought I’d be taken to blog about gourmet chocolate recipes or something (apparently I skipped the part when you mentioned it’s a book review blog). I was a pastry gal before I started blogging. Anyway… Nice to meet you.

    • Brad Graber

Love your blog. But I didn’t see how to sign up. So please go ahead and add me to your email list. Loved your best of 2017.

      • Davida Chazan

Maybe I should move those up on the page… ???

      • Davida Chazan

I have a very good friend from Cornwall and we daily discover words that the other doesn’t use and a lot of times doesn’t have any idea what it is. I am clicking over to read your post now.

      • Ellen Hawley

When my partner and I still lived in the states, we had that experience with friends from Exeter. In an email exchange about protecting plants during the winter, my partner said, “Put a bushel basket full of leaves over them.” Our friends wrote back, “What’s a bushel basket?” At the time, that struck us as hysterically funny. Now? It’s just everyday life.

        • Nikki Gwin

hahaha I love it! and I loved your post. Although…. I just happened to know every single one that you listed. But then, my friend and I have been friends for nearly 10 years now and so we’ve learned a lot. 🙂

      • Ellen Hawley

I can’t find your second comment to reply to, so I’ll leave it here: I wish I couldn’t come up with a word or two that you could add to your mental list–I’ll have to dig deeper next time. Glad you liked the post, though, and thanks for leaving a comment.

  8. Erika Lancaster

    Hello everyone!

My name is Erika and, after several years of working full-time in Graphic Design/Advertising Agencies and later on as an Art Teacher at a school, I decided to finally give myself permission to pursue creative entrepreneurship! I was aching to have time to develop myself artistically and to also take my art teaching to another level… to the online world! I want to share my journey as I turn from full-time employee to an artistpreneur and help other beginner/intermediate artists out their on their own journeys!

These past few months I have worked hard to get helpful content out there through my blog http://www.erikalancaster.com/blog, put in time to growing on social media, and working as hard as I can on developing my own artistic style and voice! At a local level I am slowly but surely starting to receive orders, but I am struggling a bit to grow an audience online! I am very thankful for blogs like this one that help people like myself learn about growing online. I still have much to do but am working hard everyday to make my dream of living through my passion come true!

I’m a mom-blogger… detest the term, but I am what I am. Lol!

I write about motherhood (shocking!) marriage and money.. personal finance, budgeting, investing and financial goals, motivational stuff for startup entrepreneurs. I’m a Christian so I sometimes (not always) put a biblical spin on things.

One guy became a billionaire just by following Solomon’s advice, so don’t knock it!

My blog is http://www.emilyvega.com and I’m on the hunt for blogging buddies with similar interests so we can promote each other on social media, guest post for one another and maybe even do a webinar together!

If you think we could gel, check out my site http://www.emilyvega.com and judge for yourself if we should be buddies.

It’s great that you’re doing these new adventures. It’s never too late to be adventurous. Since you live in Alabama, have you ever checked out Wall of Jericho hiking trail?? If you haven’t, you should definitely check it out. I just posted a picture of it yesterday on my IG account although I did the hike years ago.

One of my main goals is to refute the notion that Alabamians are brainless hicks. Now, right now with the current situation, this may seem to be an impossible challenge, but yet, it is a challenge I am taking on. Not politically of course. But I am taking you on trips to beautiful places in Alabama that you didn’t even know existed!
Come along on this midlife adventure with me!

    • Janice Wald

You blog about musical theater? I’m a fanatic! I’m on my way! Thanks for coming to my party.
      Janice

      • Mphadventuregirl

I blog about musical theatre because I have such a special and massive love for them. I grew up going to the theatre. 2006, I was 12 and I saw Wicked on Broadway. Little did I know that that musical would spark my love for musicals. Then around late 2012 and early 2013, Les MIs would end up turning that love into a passion. Musicals have changed a lot over the years, but I have loved seeing them grow and they still have the same joy and spirit they always had
