Blogger Meet and Greet: Happy Spring

Blogger Meet and Greet

Welcome to Our Start of Spring Meet and Greet!

In many parts of the world, spring started this week. At today’s Meet and Greet, we are celebrating the start of spring.

In the comments section, you are encouraged to self-promote.

Introduce your blog to the other guests at the party. Tell the readers about your blog, and post a link to your favorite post, a recent post, your About page, your blog link, or anything you like.

Then, network with the bloggers who have commented before you. They all came to meet new bloggers. Go to their blogs, introduce yourself, and let them know how you found them.

If you are not already following Mostly Blogging, I like new subscribers too.

Blog Party Happy Spring

At today’s Meet and Greet, we are having cake.

Enjoy the cake and the networking.

I am hoping others will be able to find new blogs to read and new bloggers to connect with.

I hold these opportunities for bloggers to network twice a month.

Guests, if you think others would enjoy the networking opportunities at the Blogger Meet and Greet, please share.  The more guests at the party, the more networking opportunities for all of us.

If you get a chance to promote the link to this party on your site, that would be much appreciated since it would help make others aware of this blog party and give us all more exposure.

    Hi Janice,

Seems I am up, received the email et voila…well, I got up at least. Am I in the right place is my next question…not having done any blog parties with virtual cake and a rabbit…animal for clarity….as per picture above…Easter bunny type, not some dubious nefarious piece of…well…hoom hrmmm to coin the language of an ENT from Tolkein…I digress… Right place…. Is it? I know not… Here’s my blog just in case…

Any and all views, clicks, comments are welcome…unless you are a Troll…in which case they aren’t….unless you are a real troll and live in ENT world…although I’m not sure they have typing skills or big keyboards…. I rather think I should join Alice, the Doormouse and Hatter in a tea party this morning….life feels strange….maybe I should write ?

    • Janice Wald | at 3:08 am

      Hi Gary,
Big smiles over here, as always, when I read your comments. It seemed you got the Easter reference which is why I used a rabbit.
Yes, you commented in the right place.
I found your comments literary and entertaining. I am familiar with Alice, Tolkien, and, of course, the Easter bunny. Thank you for coming to my blog party.

        Hi Janice,

One tries, mostly badly, as you can see with two -ly word back to back…terrible literacy there…I should edit it out but then I’d be left with ‘Hi Janice’ and that would just be mostly bad….mostly badly didn’t work there ?

Lewis Caroll I love (metaphorically). Her references to madness are brilliant (my opinion) and have formed some banter with another blogger here who I think is also a few eggs short of an Easter…. But I’ll let you into a secret, all the best people are….see…love Lewis Caroll ?

Does this run all day? I would imagine overseas (to me as a UK resident) are possibly not awake just yet. Might be I dip in and out if it does….one must try and retain some grip on non-virtual reality reality…. Love this idea though… I rather feel meeting folk here is going to produce some good people. I scanned through last years posts and it seemed to go well. Be amazing to hook up with new people and gather not just readers or followers but maybe some good friends down the line. I am a firm believer in taking friends wherever you find them these days. I’ve neglected that due to some…difficult times, shall we say, but onwards and upwards….did I mention tea has to be camomile? Not sure why I said that…apart from. Tea party connection ?

        • Janice Wald | at 9:24 pm

I laughed and laughed through these comments. I want to tell you why so you know how funny you are. I TOLD you you are a funny commenter–
A few eggs short of an Easter,
The tea has to be camomile…
Please keep writing me. I love to laugh. Why aren’t you writing humor in addition to your fictional pieces? You sure have a talent.
At any rate, you asked if this runs all day. People can leave links whenever they want. I don’t close the party.
In the UK, you are awake before I am. I’m in California. We wake last in the world, as far as I can tell.
You made a few (all-too serious) comments about friends. Blogging friends are real friends. I often communicate with my blogging friends off the blog (as you and I have already done).
Take care, and thanks again for the multitude of chuckles (do people still say “chuckles”?)
          Your friend,

Are you saying you don’t sup camomile tea?? I am deeply shocked indeed…next you will be saying it is entirely not normal to drink decaf coffee ?
But me funny…err that is funny in itself !!! Although on a serious note I have considered humour even if that sentence has a touch of oxymoron going on. I might give it a bash although some have said parts of my main secret book (shhh) has an element of humour in the banter betwixt a pub landlord and his prime customer which happens to be one of the main protagonists who, by complete coincidence, has an affair with the dear Rose in my out of genre chick lit book. Which is in itself mildly coincidental because she is also in the shhh book. Not that shhh is the working title you understand.

I do think you are the last to wake, globally speaking, which draws another thought. People often say with the benefit of hindsight…does waking up last give you special powers of that because we’ve already worked the day up and you can re-run it knowing the mistakes of the past…hmm..might be a book in that… Although chronomancy runs in the shhh book. Runs a bit like this….protagonist knows the surviving twin from extract Half a Twin on my blog. Blah blah blah to avoid plot ruination…turns out her mum is his daughter and she is his grandchild. Except he’s never met either of them until the accident (see blog). Anywho he gets it together with her mums mum before he was even born…see where it’s going? Chronomancy. The mum’s mum visits him from the past telling him me to meet her in the future…his time…when she is an aged woman. Leaves him a bit befuddled because he’s had children in the past but being in out present doesn’t know yet because to him it’s not happened. And that’s not even the main plot…. Think I’ve rambled again ?

I am rather chuffed to consider you as friend too…and chuckles is still used but not that often as far as I am aware !

    Hello Janice..

Thanks for another Meet and Greet post.. I am sure I can get in touch with several others like me …

    1. After you guided me how to create an About Me section, I have started working on the same.

    2. I have made two posts, one on Pregnancy (I followed questions on Quora and chalked out a list):

and another one is an infographic.. I am testing my skills on Infographics and wish to utilize them for driving some traffic to my site.

If possible, kindly check if you can share the same on Stumble Upon as well..

  3. Rachel L Helberg | at 5:27 am

    Hi Janice,
Rachel here! I actually enjoy two blogs 1): – a place I try to spread happy thoughts from small farming and chemical free gardening. 2) – express the more serious side of chemical free gardening. Right now I am writing on natural pest control methods. (since it is that time of year when all the flying and 4-legged beasties start to appear) I am also a Copywriter and working on a new site just for that.
Thank you for have a place to meet-and-greet! This is fun!

  4. Gary Jefferies | at 6:20 am

I’ve posted a few comments and just had an epiphany moment whereby I’ve been entirely discourteous and not introduced myself properly…so her we go…

Hi, I’m Gary, father of two teenagers filled with angst and ‘get out of my bubble’. Former research scientist but chose to do the home parent thing…and so do not regret that experience. Volunteered to run a ore-school and later a school governor…so not all feet up watching naff daytime television…and Indo mean naff..except Scooby Doo…and SpongeBob…but they grew up so I can’t watch that legitimately anymore.

I digress, again…so, over the last few years..or more than a few I’ve turned from factual writing (science and educational policies) to fiction. That is the inspiration behind my blog

Although I keep posting that ? Shameless self promotion is my onky vague excuse…but in truth I’m chasing feedback on two fronts…one is blog..any good? And two is to appease my inner critic that I can’t, in fact write anything interesting.

So, budding author..maybe…although for those not in the know I am actually editing my debut novel…The Assent of Rose Marie Gray (working title). Some samples are on the blog, along with other projects ranging from horror to pyschological suspense to downright fantasy fiction…Rose is chick lit….clear?

So, that’s me….hope it made sense…if not go read the About The Author…on my top right, or it should be…I rather think I’ve done a better job in that ?

      • Gary Jefferies | at 3:04 am

        You again ?

Meant in fun that bit…for clarity…just in case it was read wrong. Congratulations are a shade premature…I’m editing one out of genre piece as an exercise in cathartic self endulgence and journey through a mind that’s been in a bad place. One should point out that just because it’s from a female POV I have no aspirations for a sex change before you ask. Purely to see if I can write a female character with any reality in tow. Useful for other books and as I said cathartic self endulgence. Not my best work but then again deep into editing it’s getting to the stage I hate it…suggestive that’s it’s almost ready to go out to agents or self publish. Although book covers escape me..I write…don’t do arty…which is rubbish. Need a good come look at me cover design ?

It is a slow process though I agree

Thank you for the invite to the spring party. I’m glad its warm at the party. Outside, the cold wind is making the temperature way too low. I think we are due to have a storm blow in tonight. In the meantime check this out – all sorts of uses for Duct Tape!

Alaska is definitely going through spring right now with lots of sunlight and cold wind. It’ll be another month or so before I see the ground.
