Blogger Meet and Greet: Groundhog Day Party

Groundhog Day Cake

Welcome to Our Groundhog Day Party!

Groundhog Day is celebrated in the United States and Canada this year on Thursday, February 2. That’s this week!

The traditional Groundhog Day is significant since it determines how much longer winter will last.

The two cultures have a legend about a groundhog. According to the legend, a groundhog will come out of his hole to look at his shadow.

If it is cloudy when he pokes his head out, then the spring season will arrive early. If it is sunny, the groundhog will supposedly see his shadow and retreat back into its hole, and winter weather will persist for six more weeks.

At today’s Meet and Greet, we are having cake.

In the comments section, you are encouraged to self-promote.

Introduce your blog to the other guests at the party. Tell the readers about your blog, and post a link to your favorite post, a recent post, your About page, your blog link, or anything you like.

If you are not already following Mostly Blogging, I like new subscribers too.

Note: At other Meet and Greets, guests return and leave different links to articles in different comment boxes. You are welcome to return as often as you like and leave links.

I am hoping others will be able to find new blogs to read and new bloggers to connect with.

Guests, if you think others would enjoy the networking opportunities at our Groundhog Day Meet and Greet, please share on your social media. The more guests at the party, the more networking opportunities for all of us.

If you get a chance to promote the link to this party on your site, that would also be much appreciated since it would help make others aware of this blog party.

Happy Groundhog Day- in true spirit of the holiday let me “shine some light” on my blog that tends to be about being a mom, former teacher, or anything else that impacts my life at the moment. I tend to think I can rap. You bet the judge. Tell me to go back into my hole if you must. Criticism is welcome.

    Thank you!!

Groundhog Day….had that all January and, unlike Bill Murray…or Petes Christmas come to think of it..all ve done is get a month older ? Still, soon be spring and hibernation can end. Blogging has had a break of late and is due to return in February. However I’m always checking things as I’m currently using my blog time to pop round blogs and say hello. I think that’s important sometimes rather than just chuck out posts and remain inside ones own world. That said, it’s not so easy to visit everyone I really want to…that would require 100 hour days!!

Have a great weekend all and you can find me here

Happy Groundhog Day. I started my blog,, To promot my book. But it’s turned into so much more. I love hearing all the stories of other people that have similar issues. I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis about four years ago at the age of 60. I needed to write about my journey. It Blessed me to write it. I hope it blesses others to read it.

Awesome idea, these meet & greets and blog parties are always a great way for people to “come out of their holes” and discover different blogs they’ve never read before. Hope everyone’s having a great weekend!

You can find me at and here

I’m always experimenting with different types of posts and topics, but I generally try to focus on improving oneself and gaining new and interesting perspectives on life and the world around us (and with it, a host of questions about our world too, which is normal).

Happy Groundhog Day – I began my blog at the suggestion of a friend. She thought I had knack for decorating and organizing and said I would love to get tips from you and I’ll bet other would as well. And as they say…the rest is blog history. However; when I began this journey, I had no idea that blogging and connecting with others would mean so much to me. At this point, I think I would be lost without it. I hope you will visit and feel connected enough to subscribe, frequent and perhaps even collaborate. Check out one of my favorite posts.

I don’t want winter to end!! Have to avoid getting overheated (since when it happens have grand mal seizures) The added movement is nice, but can get hurt uncontrollably when it happens! Prefer getting my exercise my normal ways.

    Anyone up for groundhog hunting?

Hi, I’m Stacey. I write the blog Stacey Loring which is a sarcastic and humorous blog that offers satirical and crass social commentary through observational humor or personal experience. I can’t wait for Spring. I hate the cold. I live in South Carolina and it can be 28 degrees one day and the next is 75. It’s totally annoying.

I love the movie Groundhog Day, and we’re way overdue for another viewing! My blog, Delightful Repast, is about comfort food with flair and is coming up on its 7th blogiversary this month — 7 years of continuous weekly posts of original recipes and a bit about tea and wine and travel now and then.

My current post is my latest salad creation, perfect for parties, potlucks and picnics because you can make it, AND dress it, ahead of time; it can sit in its tangy dressing without losing its crunch.
