Donuts for blog share, #Blogger Meet and Greet

Welcome to Our 21st Blog Party!

Did someone say blog party?

It is time for our bimonthly Meet and Greet.

In the comments section, you are encouraged to self-promote.

Introduce your blog to the other guests at the party. Tell the readers about your blog, and post a link to your favorite post, a recent post, your About page, your blog link, or anything you like.

If you are not already following Mostly Blogging, I like new subscribers too.

At today’s Meet and Greet, we are having donuts. A guest at the last party requested them.

Enjoy the donuts and the networking.

I am hoping others will be able to find new blogs to read and new bloggers to connect with.

I will be holding these opportunities for bloggers to network twice a month.

Guests, if you think others would enjoy the networking opportunities at the Meet and Greet, please share on your social media.  The more guests at the party, the more networking opportunities for all of us.

If you get a chance to promote the link to this party on your site, that would also be much appreciated since it would help make others aware of this blog party.

You always have the best food at your meet and greets. You are the best.

  2. Olivia Morris

I live the idea of virtually meeting other bloggers and being able to increase the traffic to my sites. I blog about several different things. But let me tell you why, I love that I’m a grandmother, so will share things to do with family, children, young and old, and values. I review articles, toys, books, share recipes and tell stories sometimes too. http://www.grammieknowshow.com is where you’ll find me. I also have a love of fashion for the plus sized ladies. I’m one of the many. But I’m tired of trying to find beautiful clothes for me. Hence my search for that at my other website http://www.pizzazzplusfashion.com. Come on over and see what’s happening there.

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Olivia,
Thanks for coming to my blog party on Saturday and telling us about your blog.
I’ve read that other plus size women have trouble finding fashionable clothing. I’ve read some even wear maternity clothes since they are more fashionable than plus size clothes. What is your feeling about that?
      Janice

      • Cathy Lawdanski

Hi Olivia – I’m a grammie (AKA Gaga in my family). I blog at MySideof50.com. Would love to follow you. What social media are you on?

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Amrita,
I did not know that Vitamin D deficiency is pandemic. I teach about the Bubonic Plague each spring, a pandemic.
I only eat the virtual kind of donuts as well although it is hard to have will power. I saw you today at Blogger’s Pit Stop. Thanks for coming to my party on Saturday.
      Janice

      Hi Victoria,
A “Victoria Sponge”– sounds funny, but what does it mean? I’ve never heard that expression. Thanks for coming to my party on Saturday. Your spaghetti dish sounds delicious.
      Janice

  4. Mary Lovstad

Thanks for the lovely donuts — officially a meeting —

Farm Girl Cook’n is more than just a cooking blog. I originally started it to record stories and recipes that have been in my family for my children and extended family members. I love the stories and memories our favorite foods evoke — the smell of a chocolate cake in the oven, the making of a holiday meal, or a warm bowl of chicken soup when we didn’t feel well.

One of my favorite Irish proverbs is “Laughter is brightest in the place where the food is.” We bond around food, whether it is around the family dinner table, a campfire, a potluck, an elegant restaurant or the local truck stop. Food brings us together; it not only nourishes the body, but the soul.

These are the crepes my husband made me when we were dating — still makes them yet! http://www.farmgirlcookn.com/date-night-fruit-crepes/

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Mary,
Yes, officially a meeting! Nice to meet you!
My family loves crepes. If I ever get a crepe maker, I’ll try your recipe. Thanks for coming to my blog party Saturday and telling us about your blog. I agree with what you wrote about the value of food being a bonding experience.
      Janice

What’s your biggest healthy worry as a blogger?

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Amrita,
I am doing a blog post about blogging and health. I am having trouble finding bloggers who have physical problems because of the blogging.
Maybe we can collaborate on the post. How is your research coming?
Thank you for the compliments on the virtual food.
      Janice

  11. Dev

Hello, everyone! My name’s Dev and I hail from Indonesia. I’m currently taking creative writing and publishing courses in university in the UK. I love reading all kinds of books, especially anything with magic realism in it as it’s also my favourite thing to write about. My favourite books series is Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan and my favourite stand alone book (for now, it changes all the time) is Cam Girl by Elliot Wake (FKA Leah Raeder). I have a blog >> http://devgunawidjaja.wordpress.com << where I write a bunch of book reviews, writerly inspirations, other bookish things, and even stuff about my life, so feel free to check it out! You can also find me on Twitter and Instagram, both are @devgunawidjaja.

Have a great day everyone! 😀

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Dev,
Thank you for coming to my blog party on Saturday. I did not see the movie Percy Jackson and the Olympians but I wanted to. Was it as good as the book?
Thanks for telling us about your blog.
      Janice

  12. Jean

Hello Janice and Everyone, after 6 1/2 years of continuous weekly posts on my food blog Delightful Repast, I still enjoy meeting other bloggers. Though I’m an omnivore, recipes developed in the Delightful Repast “test kitchen” include gluten-free, nondairy, vegan and vegetarian as well as dishes that reflect my heritage (half English, half Southern) and eclectic tastes. And since I drink tea about 8 times a day, I tend to write quite a bit about tea and teatime foods. I look forward to visiting all the commenters’ blogs this week.

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Jean,
What a wonderfully supportive community member you are! Thanks for offering to visit all the party guests’ blogs this week.
I like tea but my daughters drink it more than I do. 6 1/2 years is a long time. I can’t imagine blogging for that long. I’ve only been blogging less than two years.
Thank you for coming to my blog party on Saturday. Nice to meet you.

  13. Amanda E

Hi. My name is Amanda or Mandi. I post on my blog writing mostly, fiction and poetry. Every now and then I throw in some quotes, some personal news, a bit of fashion and beauty. But mostly, I write and writing is what I love to do. I’m in the middle of preparing an application for a masters program, I want to do so badly. It’s in Creative Writing at UBC in Canada. I’m unable to do the on campus program, due to health issues. But I’m excited, and even though I know tw people make it in, I have hope 🙂 Also, proofreading right now for a couple of people and working on second draft of my paranormal romance novel. Come by and say Hi 🙂 I don’t really eat donuts, but if I did an apple fritter is my fav!
