Blog Party: Meet and Greet #8

Bloggers network at the Meet and GReet.

Welcome to My 8th Meet and Greet!

You are all invited to my party to help me celebrate.

I reached a milestone of sorts. I received over 1,000 Email subscribers.

I was told you should not mention the number of followers you have on your blog. It might make people feel bad.

That said, I am having a party.

However, the party, you see, is not for me. It is for you.

If you had not had faith in me to help with your blogging, this day would never have arrived.

To thank you for your support, I invite you to self-promote. Mingle with the guests by introducing your blog. Leave a link to your About page or a favorite post.

I have started a group Pinterest board for followers of this blog.  If you wish to be added, in addition to leaving a link to a post, please leave your Pinterest name or Email, so I can send you an invitation.

I have also started a Link Exchange for followers of Mostly Blogging.  If you wish to be added, please leave your blog link and blogging niche in the comments section of the Link Exchange.

If you are not already following Mostly Blogging, I still like new followers.

Bloggers network at the Meet and Greet

At today’s blog party, we are having cake.

Blogger Meet and Greet

I am serving champagne to toast the guests at the Meet and Greet.

Enjoy the cake and the bubbly.

I am hoping others will be able to find new blogs to read and new bloggers to connect with.

I will keep holding these regular opportunities for bloggers to network.

Guests, if you think others would enjoy the networking opportunities at the Blogger Meet and Greet, please share.  The more guests at the party, the more networking opportunities for all of us.

If you get a chance to promote the link to this party on your site, that would also be much appreciated since it would help make others aware of this blog party.

How to Get New Blog Followers

First, I’d like to say CONGRATULATIONS on obtaining 1,000 followers! Second, thank you for hosting another meet and greet. I’ve enjoyed reading (and following!) other blogs that I wouldn’t have known about unless you opened up your blog.

Anyone reading this should know that Janice also offers a blog review service. I’ve used her services and found her insights and guidance increased my blog’s quality, traffic, and readability. Thanks Janice for sharing your skills and wisdom with me!

PS – Janice didn’t ask me to do this…..I’m doing it because I truly believe her feedback helped me to improve my blog and as a way to give back to her!

My blog is about topics that surround personal mastery concepts. These are simple ways for you to hit the pause button on life, to see what is working and what’s out of alignment. When we know who we are and how we show up in the world we are happier, healthier, and more successful.

    What a great milestone!

I’m Kristin or mini but my blog is mini2z journey with me at I blog about a lot of things but mostly the day to day living or trying the best that I can with four invisible illnesses, two pupalups (the dogs) and a houseful of family. I also have a serious case of wanderlust and am in the beginning stages of planning a RTW trip with my daughter and maybe my son in 2017.

    My About Me Page:
I do a Monday Musings and a Thursday Thoughts every week.

I would be honored if I could add my blogs to your Pinterest! I’m mini2z there the Journey with me should be there too.

Since today is a bad lupus day, I’ll be in bed and checking out the other blogs on this page today.
Look forward to meeting you all.

Thank you, Janice! When I first started my blog, I wondered if I was wasting my time. I know now that I haven’t been wasting time. In fact, now that I can share what I post in the blog with FB, Twitter & several other sources, I see that this is the best social network decision I’ve ever made.
The only thing I’m not sure of is if it is going to Pinterest. I think that is one to the coolest places on the net.
Anyway, I wish the best to all of you! Here is a link to my blog and if you scroll down to the 2nd post, you will see my latest post about my darling husband & charmed life!
    Peace & blessings,

    Congrats Janice!!! 🙂
I love a party and wow, great reason for one! I think people are flocking here for the great advice, interesting posts, and because you’re so kind and generous to let us bloggers flop on your virtual couch during these great meet and greets – we promise to come back and clean up after! 😉
Here’s my meet and greety greeting. My name is Donna, I blog over at about life, the universe everything with a lot of humour – no subject goes unsubjected to the working of my brain.
So drop by, stay a spell, you may never want to leave.
Here’s my latest, a kind of blogging ‘horror’ story….boo!
Thanks again Janice and congrats, you’re working hard and it shows. 🙂
Hope this weekend is treating you kindly. 🙂

And thanks for another meetup. I blog about literature and education over at and every so often my obsession with Star Wars leaks out (just flat out avoid me when December 18th rolls around). I also give out Kirk hugs, but fortunately the content hasn’t been dark enough lately to need them. This blog started as outreach for my research in Victorian literature and relational reading, the idea influenced by the relational turn in management studies and Martin Buber’s philosophy that we can have real human relationships mediated by texts. I’m a bit of a maverick in my discipline who still believes in meaning and that poets and authors are people too, but we don’t need to let my advisers know that.

Hello, again, Janice! Thank you for having the blog party/gathering as ever, and congratulations on your 1000th “accomplishment,” so to speak! I have consistently found your blog invaluable and thank you so much for your insight (and the tips by other bloggers here have been most helpful, too!).

I’d wanted to share, not my whole blog, but an entry, one that I wrote specifically to anyone out there who has been involved with Domestic Violence Awareness Month (this month) or has had an experience or a blog to share on the issue. (I’d like to hear from you and link your blog/experience to mine!)

Here is my pinterest addy for the invite

I am definitely interested in seeing what your Pinterest board is all about.

The link I am offering up today is in the holiday spirit… I love to see all of the creative carvings people do with their pumpkins this time of year and am hoping people will share their pictures with me.

Congrats on 1,000 followers! I’d have a sip of bubbly but I’m at work.

For those who don’t know, I’m Leisel from Skill Up Skillet, a weekly updated geeky food blog. Is it a video game, movie, TV series, or something out of geek culture? If so, you can bet I’m going to make it real-world edible. You can learn more about me and the blog here: and, if you feel so inclined, check out a few recipes! They’re way more practical than you might believe.

I’m currently heading into my fourth week of Nightmare Before Christmas themed food because Halloween should not be restricted to one day a year.

Hi Janice, I just found you on the SITS girls Saturday Sharefest and so glad I did! Technically my blog, has been live for 8 months, but I feel like I was stumbling around in the dark for the first several months. I’m slowly starting to figure this whole blogging thing out, but can always use more guidance, which is why your site is probably just what I need!
My blog is a lifestyle, diy, cooking, gardening site…all the things I love to to. Here’s one of my recent posts which focus on the Thanksgiving table.

    Looking forward to your posts!
