Blogger Meet and Greet #BlogParty

Welcome to Our Blog Party!

It’s time for our bi-monthly blog party.

At today’s party, we are having popcorn.

In the comments section, you are encouraged to self-promote.

Introduce your blog to the other guests at the party. Tell the readers about your blog, and post a link to your favorite post, a recent post, your About page, your blog link, or anything you like.

If you are not already following Mostly Blogging, I like new subscribers too.

Note: At other Meet and Greets, guests return and leave different links to articles in different comment boxes. You are welcome to return as often as you like and leave links.

I am hoping others will be able to find new blogs to read and new bloggers to connect with.

Enjoy the popcorn and the networking.

Guests, if you think others would enjoy the networking opportunities at our Meet and Greet, please share on your blogs and social media. The more guests at the party, the more networking opportunities for all of us.

      Hi Ellen,
When Wayne and I cruise, we go to the Fish and Chips lunch whenever they serve it. We get traditional English fare there.
Thanks for coming to my blog party.
      Janice

      • Ellen Hawley

Now that you mention fish and chips, I don’t know how far back into history that goes. No further than the potato, clearly, but it might be worth a post. Thanks for mentioning it.

      Hi Al Saher,
I wanted to let you know, I love your avatar. Is that Mario or Luigi? I used to play those video games with my daughters, so I recognize the character. Thanks for coming to my party.

      Hi Betty,
Great to see you at my blog party! The reason your other comment “did not take” is it was caught by the dreaded SPAM folder. No worries! I fished it out.

    Hi everyone,
I know Ellen already, so let’s hope a few more people will roll up soon. Thanks for the invite and the popcorn, Janice, always a pleasure. I’ve not been to a party in a while, and I hope I’m not being a spoilsport, since my latest post is a rant about the situation in Greece, entitled ‘When will there be good news?’ Do drop in and take a look at the blog, I’m not always ranting!

Aha, I have remembered the meet and greet Janice! Slow start to the year, but things are heading in the right direction, well, a direction at least…which may, or may not, be the right one!

I just found out some unknown person nominated me for The Best Blog Pal award at the annual Bloggers Bash…which is the post I’m dropping here. Can’t think why, but hey ho, strange world and all that.

Hope alls well and should be chasing you next weekend regarding the author spotlight for your book.

Have a good weekend all and visitors are welcome, although my theme will be changing soon #scary

    • Janice Wald

Congratulations! I am so happy and excited for you! You deserve it! I am looking forward to my feature on your blog.
      Janice

    • Janice Wald

What are you changing your theme to? Or, do you want me to be surprised?

      • Gary Jefferies

Hi Janice and thanks! Shocked is more like it. No expectations of wining in that category mind as I don’t know enough people compared to some of the more established nominations. Still, a great boost just to get on the list. No idea who nominated me though!

Theme I’ve decided on is Dara. I looked at premium and free ones, but Dara is January 2017 and has all the features I need in terms of fresh look, landing page features and social media links. Only trouble I have is getting it to look like the demo without messing it all up. Newbie feelings all over again!

Main aim is to allow potential publishers or agents to easily navigate to my writing, find out who I am and find me across other sites. An update is overdue methinks.

        • Janice Wald

Methinks you can do whatever you set your mind to. You have accomplished so much in the short time I’ve known you.
          Janice

          • Gary Jefferies

Thank you Janice; I have a terrible internal mechanism that fails to acknowledge achievements and concentrates on things not done instead. Very self destructive at times and I really appreciate it when someone points out the reality of things to balance it all out! Positive thinking is the way forwards and you said that very succinctly x

            Gary

  3. Leah

Hey everyone! Happy Saturday! My blog is about what my life is like living with Mitochondrial Myopathy (a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy). I also hope to help people understand my disease as well as encourage fellow disabled people to live in a positive way. http://www.millennialonwheels.com/?m=1

I can’t imagine never knowing how much energy I could spend before I was down with a relapse. Thank you for sharing your experience.

  4. Donna Parker

I’m already munching on the popcorn, dear Janice, hopefully all that butter won’t clog my keyboard (or anything else). Thanks for inviting us to your party – they’re always a delight!
My name is Donna, I blog about life, the universe, and everything with a ton of humour, pop over, have some fun! https://yadadarcyyada.com/2017/05/13/the-mother-of-all-blogs/

    Wishing everyone a wonder-filled weekend!

    Hi Janice,

This is my first time participating in your meet and greet. I think this is an awesome way to connect with other bloggers!

My blog is called Not Now Mom’s Busy – I help new women/moms bloggers improve their skills and show them how to make money from home. And every once in a while I blog about mom life.

Here’s one of my most recents posts about using social media to grow an online business > http://notnowmomsbusy.com/social-media-for-online-business/

Looking forward to meeting and connecting!

I love caramel salted popcorn so you best take it away from or I will demolish the whole lot it is addictive. My blog is about a quirky English retired civil servant who now lives in Thailand. I write and cook and am also discovering some traditions which are being passed through generations so I suppose a lifestyle blog of my life and times in Thailand. This post I suppose shows my quirky side to my writing you will never just get a recipe…lol I hope you enjoy this little post.

Hi Janice and everyone else. I’m a psychologist in Arkansas. We work hard, sacrifice and compromise in marriage. But what do we receive after the many years we give? Here are a few ideas…

Heyyyy guys! ? And thank you Janice for the invite!
I opened my blog just a week back. It’s to inspire people around the world to help save our world. I have three sections, casual, changing the world and Islam. Under the casual section I post random articles, articles about me and reblogs of my fellow bloggers. If you have the time, here’s the link to my blog.

  10. Patrick

Hello….I’m Patrick and I write a personal blog called The Inner Circle which I started when my wife Lori got cancer. I had to re-start a couple of times but I don’t mind. I write about what it is like living with a cheetah and whatever else crosses my path.

This is my latest entry and thanks for this very cool idea.

  11. Elise Cohen Ho

What a neat idea. I am a Relationship and Lifestyle Blogger & Coach. I am holistic in nature and that follows through to my blog where I share health & wellness tips, travel & adventure, product and restaurant reviews, recipes and all sorts of parenting and relationship information. I even offer a Tip Tuesday and Foodie Friday Link Party. I love to connect to other people to support one another. I also like to work with guest bloggers and even have many group boards on Pinterest if anyone wants to pin with me. This is a post about a project that I am very passionate about: http://elisecohenho.com/united-we-parent/

    • Janice Wald

I would love to pin to your group board Elise. Can you send me an invitation? Thanks and thanks for coming to my blog party.
      Janice

  12. Barbara Radisavljevic

That popcorn looks delicious. I just wrote a new post for a blog I haven’t given any love for a while. The intended audiences are bloggers and those who write for content sites rather than those who primarily write books. Lately, I’ve seen so many people making what I think are mistakes on Twitter that keep me from following them that I wrote this one. http://barbs-writing-life.info/3-reasons-wont-follow-you-twitter/

  13. Pam

Hi, All! I’m Pam and I blog at Empty Nest where I was blogging about life in an empty nest but, once two of my 4 daughters moved back in, the blog has become more of a lamenting about missing my empty nest. LOL I cover middle age and becoming a grandmother for the first time. I’ve also been known to tackle some current social issues and DIY project fails because all of my DIYs seem to be fails.

Because my tiny house is busting at the seams, I wrote this post about giving gifts that won’t add to the junk we already have in our homes: http://www.emptynest1.net/2017/05/ten-clutter-free-gift-ideas.html

This is such a great idea! Thanks so much for hosting!
