Meet and Greet

Welcome to Our Oktoberfest Blog Party!

Celebrating Oktoberfest is a cultural tradition.

The festival was held in Germany and started September 16. It ends this Tuesday, October 3.

In the comments section, you are encouraged to self-promote.

Introduce your blog to the other guests at the party. Tell the readers about your blog, and post a link to your favorite post, a recent post, your About page, your blog link, or anything you like.

If you are not already following Mostly Blogging, I like new subscribers too.

At today’s blog party, we are having fruit pie. Enjoy the pie and the networking.

Note: At other Meet and Greets, guests are encouraged to return and leave different links to articles in different comment boxes. You are welcome to return as often as you like and leave links.

I am hoping others will be able to find new blogs to read and new bloggers to connect with.

Guests, if you think others would enjoy the networking opportunities at our Meet and Greet, please share on your social media and blogs.  The more guests at the party, the more networking opportunities for all of us.

Hi everyone! I thought Oktoberfest was all about beer, but here I see a Pavlova which I much prefer as it’s one of my favorite treats!
I had the luck to take a short trip to Sicily, which I loved. Beautiful climate and scenery, great food, friendly people. The Ancient Greeks left their mark upon the island, and my latest post has photographs of wonderful temples and Byzantines mosaics. Enjoy!

Pavlova, I tried to subscribe to your blog, but got an error message. I’m wondering what went wrong and if this is happening to anyone else.

      • Mindelate

Hello Barbara, I’m afraid my name isn’t Pavlova ? Lol

Thank you for informing, I’m not sure why that is. Have you tried the ‘follow’ option under my posts?

        • Barbara Radisavljevic

I think I’ve got it figured out. I wasn’t getting the confirm follow emails and WP wasn’t letting me subscribe to any more blogs or comments until I went through the confirmation on their site.

          • Mindelate

Ah, well there you have it 🙂

Oktoberfest….food and beer, can’t go wrong. Which reminds me our local pub is having one next weekend. Beer festival and a few bands playing; might just have to pop round!

I’m hoping to grow connections a bit more after a bit of a break, hiatus, absence, quiet time….actually, more a case of troubleshooting notifications of your parties Janice. Seems to happen every so often on a number of blogs I follow. Still, back this time so all good.

Feel free to pop over before I start re-theming….#procrastinating… my blog.

Maybe even check out some of the blogs I gave a shout out to in this post!

This is so fun – a pot luck for bloggers. What do I bring to the table…..real life stories on Was that my out loud voice? Sometimes it’s serious, other times it’s a funny take on recent events or the seemingly mundane. I try to inject a little humor into everything I post.

My latest post is about jam so I guess I’m bring jam to this party 🙂 https://wasthatmyoutloudvoice.com/

  15. Barbara Radisavljevic

Thanks for the invite to the party, Janice. Pie is my favorite.

I’ve been on a blogging vacation for a couple of months because of health issues and too many urgent offline things to do, but I’m trying to bring my California blog back to life with my latest post, What It’s Like to Live in Wine Country, http://acalifornialife.com/2017/09/29/life-style-wine-country/. My blog is about life in California and the people, experiences, and places that are part of life on the Central Coast and make it special to me. I share California’s natural beauty, my local art scene, events I attend, the scenery from our coastal cities, and more. I also share the cities I visit, near and far around the Golden State.

I’m currently trying to build my subscriber list. Subscribers occasionally get emails with additional photos that weren’t published and news not in the blog posts.

  16. Linda Jo Martin

Happy Blog Party, everyone! I’m Linda, a book blogger. I’m not too good at self-promotion so I’ll just leave it at that.

I hope you come and visit. Stay a while, hopefully, we can become friends. Un caro saluto e alla prossima.

  18. Marie Lavender

What a yummy pie! Hello, everyone. Happy to visit! Obviously, my name is Marie Lavender. I am a multi-genre author of 22 books, and I host three blogs. I accept guest authors on all of them.

Writing in the Modern Age mainly pertains to writing and how we approach it in this age of technology. The answer comes out via author and character interviews, articles with tips on writing, new release and book features, as well as our cool Author’s Bookshelf (authors get the chance to tell us what they type of books they read too!). Check out today’s post, and discover a character interview with our first cat character, Sneaky, from Debbie De Louise’s fascinating cozy mystery series! http://marielavender.blogspot.com/2017/10/a-feline-character-interview-with-sneaky-from-cobble-cove-mystery-series-plus-chat-with-author-debbie-de-louise.html

Alternately, the I Love Romance Blog is a place to discuss what romance means to all of us, whether through random thoughts on romance, articles on romance writing, articles with tips on romantic relationships, or simply learning about romance novels readers have never discovered before. Discover Saturday’s post, featuring Laura Barnard’s new romantic comedy! http://iloveromanceblog.wordpress.com/2017/09/30/new-release-feature-love-uncovered-by-laura-barnard/

Finally, the MLB blog is a hodgepodge of sorts, including author interviews and book spotlights, but also some of my own work…what it’s like for me as a writer. Recently, I recognized National Poetry Day. http://marielavenderbooks.blogspot.com/2017/09/dont-forget-poetry-today.html And last month, we had our feisty feline takeover with Emma the Queen. http://marielavenderbooks.blogspot.com/2017/09/emmas-corner-on-being-queen-and-stuff.html

Thanks for giving me the chance to come in here and talk about my blogs! Have a great week! 🙂
