    • empowee

      Hi Rahul, Janice,

      I love WordPress.

      It’s definitely a beast.

Once you understand it you’ll definitely have a huge advantage but it can be a bit difficult for newbies.

      I love Wpbeginner & Yoast.

I use Bloom & Convert Plug instead of OptinMonster.

      • Janice Wald

        Hi Empowee,
Thank you for contributing to the discussion by recommending these additional resources. I had not heard of them. Are they free? Thanks for writing.

          • Janice Wald

I use Rapidology! I’ve been pleased with it.

  2. Prosper Noah

    Hi Janice,

Great Resources. I personally visit WPbeginner often, its one of the best places for wordpress tutorials!

    Do have a nice week!

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Prosper,
Thanks for writing with a testimonial about WPBeginner and for your comment today. You have a nice week also.

  3. Pat Strevonson

I have been following WpBeginner for a long time. The other ones, i had never heard of them before. Thanks for revealing them to me.

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Pat,
It’s great they have all these resources for bloggers now. I wish they had had more of them when I started. Thanks for writing and letting us know WPBeginner works for you.

  4. Susan Velez

    Hi Janice,

There are so many different WordPress tutorials online, I wish it would’ve been that way when I first started back in the day.

I have learned a lot from WP Beginner and WP101. They are great sites to learn practically anything that you need to know.

I think it’s important for every blogger to know how to do small tasks. You don’t have to learn how to code, but it sure is nice to learn the basics.

Thanks for sharing these awesome resources with us have a great day 🙂

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Susan,
The thought of having to code can be very intimidating. I agree. You can be a successful blogger without knowing how to code. I know enough to get by but that’s not much.
I agree; the guest author shared awesome resources in her post. You have a great day too.

  5. Donna Merrill

    Hi Janice,

Welcome back! WordPress sure gives us so much information, why not take advantage? I have to say that my favorite is Yoast. I used to waste so much time with SEO until I plugged this in. It guides me before I publish. Sometimes I think I’m good to go, but I didn’t get that green light from Yoast. Then I work on what I need to and I’m fine. I couldn’t live without it.

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Donna,
I am like you. I never publish until I get the green light from Yoast! Thanks for the warm welcome back and for writing me today.

  6. Cori Ramos

    Hi Janice,

This is a great list of resources for new bloggers. I’m with Susan, I wish there were tutorials like this when I first started. That would have saved me a lot of long nights learning it on my own. 😉 I’ve been to WordPress Beginner but this is the first time I’ve heard of WP101 – I’ll be checking them out for sure!

You also mentioned some of my faves like Yoast and WP Forms. 🙂

Great post Janice! Passing this one along as well.

    Happy Tuesday!

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Cori,
I learned much of this on my own as well. Why do you use forms on your blog? Thank you for commenting and sharing.

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Billie,
Is nice to meet you in order? If so, nice to meet you. Thank you for the compliments on the resources and for bookmarking my post.

    • Janice Wald

      Hi Angela,
The post recommended WPForms and Cori wrote to say she uses it. The post was contributed so I am not familiar with WPForms. You might reply to Cori’s comment and ask her about it. I don’t think she’d use it if she wasn’t satisfied.

  7. Arvind
